Started attack today and so far no problems ... Yes I am aware it's early days...
B...2 eggs boiled
Yogurt low fat and oatbran
L...beef slices Seafood sticks
E...fish steamed
Black coffee during the day
2lts of water so far

Off for a walk ....as it's such a nice night

If you've come straight off Cambridge diet you may not lose much in attack, but if not don't worry too much as it is mostly water and glycogen that goes in Attack, as well as getting you firmly into ketosis. Cruise is the real weight loss bit, then the next two to sustain it all. Best of luck!

Day 2
Struggled to day ... Day off today and It's been a long day so far ...tried to keep busy and out of the kitchen....
B... 2 egg omelette
Yogurt with oatbran
L... Prawns ...chicken slices
Yogurt
E... Steamed haddock fillets
2ltrs water
4 black coffee

Early night tomorrow is another day ...

Think flavour. Herbs and garlic in quark have been a saviour for me. I use it like a sauce or spread on mini galettes with meat or fish as well. I use dill for fish like smoked salmon, which is delicious on small oatbran galettes, or mustard with meat or ham, sometimes with garlic and mixed herbs. Chop hard boiled egg in herby quark too, with black pepper. Cinnamon, nutmeg, mixed spice are all nice mixed with Splenda on ob galettes. Otherwise real boredom is your enemy. I cook a whole chicken with garlic underneath and inside, mixed herbs or ground cumin and coriander all over with a bit of 1cal oilspray. If you hate garlic put an onion cut into quarters in and under instead (you can't eat it till you are on cruise, but the chicken carcass makes lovely stock).

I love attack! Lily, how many days are you intending to do? If you're hungry, you could eat more protein. I think you're a bit light on protein so please eat more!

Seems like you are doing well Lilly, but Maintainer is right you need to eat alot of protein on this diet. Thats something my dukan dieter father neglected to tell me when I first started until four days into attack lol x

I know it says as much as you like, but how many crab sticks is ok????

When we say to eat plenty of protein, we mean PURE(st we can find) protein (ie chicken, beef, prawns, etc - things you've cooked yourself) not packaged ham, crabsticks or even extra dairy.

If you look at the ingredients and nutritional information on a packet of crabsticks, you'll understand why they're limited to 8 a day (and that's loads given the sugar in them!). I'd stick to a couple in an emergency if I were you and chew on a chicken leg, rather!

Thanks for your comments .. And I take onboard your suggestions ...I am eating loads feel healthy and full of life and seeing the results in my clothes already...

I love the feeling full of life thing... are you sleeping less at night, do you think? I now rarely sleep more than six hours so my days are so much longer :D

I have no trouble sleeping ... Nearly always full of life dieting or not
I am doing attack until Friday then onto the next stage .... I have dieted for years weight up and down .. Trouble is just love food ... Checked my scales this morning and it is showing a 8 pound loss ... Which is great at some point I will log on to the main site and fill in my profile correctly ...

Day Six

Here goes today's menu
B...Yogurt ... Galette
L... Chicken.... Cottage cheese..... Yogurt
E... Prawns .... Eggs ...chicken

Read the cruise section looks fairly straight forward ... I quite like the attack phase ... But eating veg makes it easier to socialise ... You can always leave potatoes etc ... But just eating the meat and leaving the rest of the meal makes me feel like you are back eating school dinners ...people always want to try and get you eat when you don't want to ... So cruise in a few days maybe ......

STOP! 7 days' cruise is way too much at your weight! Time for some veggies/salads! Remember, priority still to the protein :D

Thanks for the advice will take a further look at cruise ... Could I ask you for a sample days eating on cruise please loaned my book out and not expecting it back until Sunday morning ... Advice is always welcome ..
