Finally bought a soup maker-love it. So easy.

Tried and tested Derbynannys Tomato and Red Pepper Soup-it's lovely.
My only other recipe is veg from supermarket (morrisons/tesco soup mix bag), with stock-usually with pepper and-or chilli powder. Also low in cals and tasty.

Had a disaster with cauliflower experiment yesterday-but no harm done.

Anyone suggest some different soup ideas please? I'm hopeless at trial and error. Ask the cauliflower......

One of my favourites is French onion.....
Slice onions thinly, add 1 beef & 1 veg oxo, a large teaspoon of marmite/ bovril cover with water and simmer (if you make loads you'll need more stock cubes) easy peasy....in fact, all my soups are this easy, just stock & whatever veg

Oh Deb that's sounds easy and tasty and low-thank you.

How many onions should I use, and can I cheat with frozen?

I'm Sure frozen would be fine... As for amount, just depends how much you want, just make sure you cover it with stock
I usually would do about 250-300g onions to 1 pint stock - roughly as I don't weigh (just weighed some onions lol)
