Decided to try Mounjaro

So I decided recently that after years of trying to lose weight and failing, that I would try Mounjaro. I work in a medical field and everything I read about this drug it seems almost too good to be true, but at the moment I really can't see any downside (except price!). I'm a month in and for the first time making healthy choices is EASY. lost a stone in a month and haven't even felt like it was effort, food is not dominating my day, and I feel really optimistic.

I have previously done Cambridge diet (successfully, but over years put a lot of that back on), weight watchers (zero success) and exante (small success), but with this I feel like I might really just get to what I want without the misery.

If anyone is thinking about it, I'm happy to answer questions!

Me too! I'm just starting week 2. So far so good. I've just started my diary.

Will you join us (all sorts of weight loss regimes) on the Christmas or Easter threads?

I started Mounjaro, had my second dose today. So far no side effects, it hasn't affect my appetite yet maybe after a few weeks? I am following Slimming World.

I have had loose bowels sometimes and one day/night with uncomfortable stomach pain. I also used Gaviscon to settle gas. I was worried about injecting - but it's become routine now.

It's worked like magic. I no longer think of food all the time. The compulsion is gone. I've shed 3 stone since late January. At first it also helped with my arthritis - not now. I ache again.

If it suits you, and you have the budget, I recommend it. I also have saved money on the food and eating out budget.

I think I may have to stay on Mounjaro or whatever succeeds it for life - as I understand the compulsion starts again when you stop. Whatever the downsides, it's probably healthier than being extremely fat.
