Hi ladies - thanks for that!

Actually SB, the bathroom is lovely - its a private stall with a locked door and its own sink and a mirror! Heaven!! :rotflmao: (Only problem is you now will see a toilet in my shots and its not full length - but it by FAR the best aspect of my new job - which should say an awful lot! :D Nothing short of class for you people - me and my toilet!!!! :D :D

Mommy - I did start my "job" and I H-A-T-E it. I feel I've been burned because the agency implied I was being hired by the Bank, but in all reality I am a agency employee, with little to no bennifits. Not happy at all, and the job environment is about the worst I have ever entered. MISERABLE people - not really one friendly face among them.

I am biding my time, and hopeful for an interview i have Monday for a REAL job with a company I like and have thought of working for some time ago - so - fingers crossed. Thank you for asking. :)

SB - thanks for the compliment. :)

Glad Jim's about still. :)

i wish you all the best with your surgery - do let us know how you get on

Great to hear from you Jim, and I'm really pleased you have found a solution that you believe will work for you.

So sorry about the unbelievable tragedy that you & your family have endured, but you are 100% right that Nothing is more important than family and you have such a great motivation to make sure you're around and strong for your children.

From the short time I've 'known' you I'm certain that you will have fully researched the gastric band option - wouldn't work for me but we're all different.

Good to hear from you Jim, I hope it all works out as you desire. Keep in touch.

It's great to hear from you Jim and I;m glad you've found a solution that's right for you though we'll all miss you on the LL wagon.

Your story is truely.....I don't know what the word is. It struck a chord with me though my situation is no where near as sad. My parents divorced when I was very young and my dad raised me and my sister. It's something I don't really talk about but it got to the point a couple of years ago that I've lived more of my life without my mother than with her. I guess what I'm saying is, as a father myself now, I have nothing but awe and respect for my dad for what he did with us and raising two children completely on his own. Losing my wife is my worst nightmare. You my friend, deserve a medal.

I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world. You deserve it.

Hi Jim :)

Good to hear from you again. ANd thank you for sharing so much about yourself. It is indeed, a very tragic tale, and I am so sorry for your loss. Like is very unfair sometimes, and it is the hardest for those left behind. Your children have a diamond for a father. It is terribly sad that there mum is no longer with them, but I don't doubt for a moment that you provide them with enough love to carry them through all their years.

Do keep in touch with us all here, and let us know how you get on with your surgery. It is a scary option, for me, but you sound well and truly ready and prepared. I wish you nothing but success.

And damn, can you ride a cycle, or WHAT!!?? You are a superman!!

ANd, lol, I absolutely love being called a warrior!!!! :D :D

Don't be a stranger.

Hey Jim
Thanks for reponding to BLs plea and coming back to tell us why you had gone quiet.
I think that we all respect each other's choice. Everyone is different and the secret of success with weight loss is to find the way that suits you best.
I admire you for trying LL before making your final decision to have the gastric band.
My first husband was also young fit and healthy and had a sudden brain haemorrage. Although he didn't die I lost him. He eventually recovered physically after 3 months in intensive care in a neurological hospital, but was never the same person afterwards. In a way it was lucky we hadn't any children, but I know the whole situation was part of my reason for becoming addicted to food and allowing myself to gradually get to 21.5 stone over the years.
It was a way of punisihng myself, I felt guilty and making sure nobody would want to get close to me (or be able to) again. I can see it now and LL has helped me come to terms with many issues from my past which I shall be eternally grateful for.
I am so sorry you and your children lost your sweetheart and their mother. You are doing the right thing to stay healthy for them and I can understand LL would not be the right programme long term for someone as active as you.
Good luck for the future. Please comeback and let us know how you progress. xxx
