Hi there.

Have been writing food diaries on and off for 2 years now but only ever where I can read it - my blackberry!
Very fussy eater and not big on eating meat so maybe not an exciting read but always open to tips and advice :)

Determined to once again get a pair of jeans over my thighs and bum and buy a fabulous dress in a size 12 for my next birthday in July!

Started Slimming World last week Wednesday March 30th but will start my diary from today.

So here goes...

5th April 2011

Breakfast;
2 slices of Warbutons wholemeal bread - HEB
Half a tin of baked beans in tomato sauce
2x Cup of tea with 1 teaspoon sugar - 2 syns (i think?)

Lunch;
Big bowl of fruit consisting of;
Melon
Mango
Grapes
Apple

Dinner;
Jacket potato
Margarine 1tsp - 2 syns
Houmous 28g - 4.5 syns
Sainsbury's Morroccan cous cous (not sure of syn value or if is counted as free when made up with water - if you have any clue let me know :))

8.5 syns for today

Weigh in tomorrow - not been a brilliant week but have stuck to the plan for the most part. Hoping for the best!

I am indeed a newbie! I really love the extra easy plan - its so flexible and you really feel like you don't miss out when you socialise etc. Luckily my fiance really enjoys the slimming world food that I cook, and even cooks it himself when we have dinner together bless him :) (even though he does not need to lose weight himself!)

I have never tried the extra easy plan I have had my SW book since before extra easy was introduced and it has worked for me in the past plus I eat meat maybe once a week at most so don't think I am going to try it out but I hope it works for you :)
and thats great that he is so supportive and really enjoys it!

Hi Melissa,

Are you doing a green day? It looks good apart from no hexa (unless I'm missing something!) I think the Ainsley couscous works out about 1.5 syns per packet so hopefully the Sainsbury's one will be similar for you. Good luck getting to your target, sounds as though you're doing great at the moment! x

Hi yes I'm doing a green day :) Well spotted, I am going to finish off with a 28g of porridge oats for my 2nd HEB of the day and whats left of my 250ml semi-skimmed milk from my cups of tea today for my HEA. I follow the old plan rather than the EE plan.
I see you follow the green plan?
x

Yes, I'm a greenie! I love it tbh, it just suits the way I eat and I don't think I've ever felt hungry or deprived. I originally joined SW pre EE too and while I don't follow that plan, this time round I have been very conscious of including the third super-free which EE recommends and have found it makes a huge difference. Last time I took the - eat as much rice / pasta etc as you like a bit too literally, hence the mess I found myself in last year! Enjoy your porridge x
