    hiya all,

I couldnt change the title from my last thread so I thought I would just start a new one with a basic title and stick with this thread!

Well, I'm doing this diary to keep myself in check and to keep motivated, I'm not normally someone who would write things down let alone write them for others to see! This site is fantastic support though, and I hope to get to know some of you guys and support each other.

Well today is day 3 and I am now in Ketosis..Woohoo!:D

I'm quite pleased with myself to have got here...I have tried a few times recently to get pass day 1 but have failed and made excuses..WELL..no more excuses! I am determined to do this and lose the terrible amount of weight I have gained!!

I have been to SW..they have classes here on camp in Germany, but the results were too slow, and only losing 1/2 to 1 pound a week when you have 6 stones to go was daunting to me. Plus I'd have a "naughty" pizza and end up gaining all that I lost the previous 3 weeks..lol. then feel really guilty and so on....

I've got to do this, and my husband has said for the first time ever yesterday, that I DO need to lose weight...he's always tried to spare my feelings I suppose.

I'm doing this for myself though, we had our Summer Ball last Saturday..fancy dress too:( and it was a western theme. I managed to get a costume as an Indian princess in a plus size, but felt totally uncomfortable and did not enjoy the evening like I used to. I don't want to feel like that anymore..sat at the table while all the other wives look gorgeous in their outfits while I'm basically wearing a polyester tan sack!! LOL. So here I am..not gonna moan about my weight anymore and do something about it!

I'm setting myself small goals as I have quite a journey to go, so it does not seem so daunting...and who knows..by the next ball at Xmas..I should be considerably smaller in a lovely ballgown this time instead of a sack!!!

Well, have a great day all..I've not much planned, just taking things easy and probably playing the arcade games again! I go back to work next Monday, I'm a Teaching Assistant so work term time only. I'm looking forward to going back, and keeping myself busy tho.

    All for now

I'm sure that 6st will fall off within no time at all.

I will keep an eye out for your results.

    Take care

    Day 6!

    Hello all,

    Well I'm still here..plodding along.

The past few days have been ok, no major problems and I have SS 100%!!!:D

I have been keeping really quiet I suppose, and not been out too much, but that will change next week when I return back to work. I'm looking forward to it actually, hopefully the days will go a lot quicker!

The only problem I have had...is my foodpacks going straight through me..and I mean straight through me..LOL.sorry TMI...just wondering if anyone has experienced this??And does it stop? It never happened to me when following the diet before, hoping that it does stop soon!

I've had a good day today, my husband took my 2 girls to a Themepark in Holland, so I've had peace and quiet for once! I love my kids to bits, but looking forward to them going back to school:p.

So it's just been me and my 2 Bulldogs for most of the day, and now the others are back and my husband is shattered:D. Hate to see him after looking after the kids and working and living in a foreign country for 6 months all on his own like I have to..LOL..I know I'm being mean! He does go away quite a lot,(to not very nice places) so I'm used to spending 6/7 months at a time on my own, no its not always easy but I have to get on with it!

Well, I think thats about it for now, I've had a very boring existence since last Sunday! Doesnt help that the weather has been crappy too here in Germany, the summers are normally really good!

    Have a good evening all,

    Kelly xxx

Congratulations Kelly on nearly having done a week!

I've experienced the straight through things several times but it does seem to come & go. Most people report that they're constipated though so there have been times that I though I really must be the odd one out.

I'm with you on the socialising thing too. 2 months ago when I started CD I'd avoid anything I could that involved people. Now 3 stone down I'm getting back into it slowly.

Back to school monday for me too! Its so much easier to SS at school. I find that I'm so busy I often don't have my first shake until about 5. The water can be a problem though!

Good luck hun. Keep posting. This site can be a life saver at tough times.

    Take care,

I've read that psyllium husks mixed with just a bit of water can help with this as they absorb water in the colon and so prevent dire-rear (I can't spell it the grown up way:eek:). Perhaps this would be worth a try. The husks bulk up the stools and that ought to slow their progress, if you get what I mean.

Good luck with your weight loss journey. I'm looking forward to the next installments of your diary :)

Hello all, Thanks kurious, I will give the husks a go, anything to stop the you know whats!! lol

Well Day 7! I cant believe I actually got here. But it does feel good, and I'm proud of myself especially as I am doing this with no CDC to weigh me etc..just got to keep going! I have found today, I have had the urge to eat, but have stopped myself and just thought about why I am doing this and drank some more water! Its not easy is it this dieting lark? I will weigh myself in the morning and then I can finally put something on my ticker!

Today, I had to do some food shopping with hub and 2 kids...I think that is why I have wanted to eat I suppose. Its not the delights the German supermarkets offer (not a lot really seeing as I'm veggie! LOL) I think it was just being around food, and not actually putting anything in the trolley for me! I felt a bit left out..but just remembered that I will not be doing this for ever! I think I went round the aisles in record time!!

This evening is just a quiet one in front of the TV (again!!), had 2 packs so far, all my 4 litres..so will have some more water and enjoy another pack later.

Hope you all have a great evening,

    Kelly xxx

WOW - Kelly well done! As far as having problems with your packs goes .... if it is still happening try halving your packs and having them spaced out frequently throughout the day. Also plenty of water is key to this diet.

Good luck - and look forward to seeing fantastic photos of you in your ball gown when you are a skinny mini!

Thanks Sam and Beverly, your kind words are truly appreciated!

I will try the halving packs thing to see if that helps! I'm drinking loads too.

    Have a lovely day,
