Dietninjas 21 Day Fix & SW Diary

After planning out my day tomorrow I have made an executive decision that post-exercise ONLY I'm going to allow myself a protein shake. I will syn anything I add to it eg honey, but my shake is only 99 cals and really helps me recover. I used to have post exercise binges when I didn't eat enough after exercise (my appetite disappears after exercise but then I can't control it later) but haven't had this problem since I started having protein shakes. I know if I syn it I won't have it.

So...cheat decided on :) sticking to plan for the rest!

Plan for tomorrow:

Plan for tomorrow

EE

AM post workout shake with 1/2 banana

B - overnight oats (50g oats...hexb + 2 syns) with 0% greek yoghurt, blueberries, 1/2 banana and tsp honey (1 syn)

L - egg & feta (45g) muffins with asparagus (hexa)

T - teriyaki salmon fillets with courgetti (1tsp sesame oil 2 syns) and a baked potato with cottage cheese
If needed: 2 squares Lindt dark choc...no idea on syns...

Total syns: 5/15 (without choc!)

It's in the boot of my car and I didn't drive to work. Don't normally need it but I guess there's quite a bit of pollen about at mo. First run with my new fitbit HR (pressie to myself for losing 2 stone) - loved it! <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=173856"/>

Woop!! Fitbit charge HR club!! I am in love with mine!!!

Wow you're in peak way longer than me. Even when I ran my 10k on sat I was only in peak for 5mins. I wonder if I'm not wearing it right or not pushing myself. But I was pretty out of breath and did it in 58mins so wasn't messing about.

I have HR envy :-(

I have been debating the EXACT same thing!!!

I have a low resting HR (43bpm!!! Genetic, not fitness sadly!) and I'm 40 so my max HR is lower, so my peak zone is lower. Plus I'm not as fit as you, more bulk to carry round so takes more effort. Hill intervals really works for getting HR up!!! May try on Sat.

My workout this morning was weights and I didn't even get into the fat burning zone for all of it!!

Wanna be fitbit buddies? Not sure how to set that up tho!

Ooh I have been debating getting a fitbit for a while now. I love doing weights but hate that I have no idea of how much I'm burning etc.

Would you recommend me getting one and any ideas on best one to get and prices? Xx

I researched Fitbit - there's 3, and most decent reviews said the 200quid surge wasn't worth it. DN and I have the chargeHR which includes a heart rate monitor for £120. I think the flex without HR monitor is like £70-80. I wanted the HR monitor though!

A lot of the girls on here have the polar but in reviews it was found to be one of the most inaccurate I think- overestimate calorie burn by 20% for workouts. But that's ok if you take it into account.

I love mine!!

At the moment id totally recommend it but I've only had it since sat so still early days!

It fits really well which surprised me, and produces cool data which makes me happy! I used the apps running feature today and it worked well.

Feeling smug as I'm on 18700 steps!

Now see I think I would respond really well to this.
I find it really helps me to actually see what I've burnt off, steps taken etc.
Not particularly bothered about HR though as mines always been fine.
It's my bday coming up so maybe I could ask for one x

The heart rate is what gives you the accurate calorie burn. Otherwise it's just a generic proxy

That articles interesting but I think it does it a disservice re running. You can team it easily with the phone app to get pace and distance so really not an issue. Unless you want to review the data whilst running, of course :)

Thanks for the link blondcat.
There seems to be a lot of feedback regarding it causing pain/ discomfort in the wrist or the side of the body that is wearing it though??
I keep debating about getting one and main thing that stops me is I don't generally like wearing those type of watch straps and definitely not in that material. Would probably take off at bad time too as I do with all my jewellery.
Mm decisions decisions lol x

I haven't any irritation but it's early days. I take mine off at night. Couldn't care less about the sleep tracker :/ I know when I haven't slept well!

Day 3 of 21DFX

Really I don't know what the point of me planning is when I don't get anywhere near sticking to it! M
Don't get me wrong, it was a good day, but nothing like my plan!!

Red day today

AM ex - 30 min Pilates fix. Quite enjoyable but only got my HR into fat burning zone for a couple of mins! Also I hate resistance bands with a passion so may need to get some ankle weights for this. The band makes my posture go all wrong...

B - banana & skinny latte (hexa), 50g overnight oats (hexb, 2 syns) with blueberries, FF greek yog, tsp honey (1 syn)
(forgot to take my lunch into work so tried to make do with a light breakfast and save my overnight oats for lunch. But I was starving by ten so caved and had the rest and went home for lunch)

L - 1/2 lidl protein roll (60g...hexb2), 2 fried eggs with courgette and button mushrooms

PM ex - a surprise run (!) 4.25 miles with a friend, cross country so slooowwwww

T cajun chicken with roasted veg; olive oil spray 1 syn, 45g feta (hexa2)
1/2 quest bar (4.5 syns) and a handful of grapes

Total syns 9.5
