Different coloured eyes!

This is known as Heterochromia Iridis. Complete heterochromia is when one iris is a different colour from the other. Much less common is sectoral heterochromia where a part of one iris is a different colour from the rest. For more info visit:

I have sectoral heterochromia - I have a brown patch in my otherwise blue left eye. It's towards the top and so sometimes difficult to notice. Didn't stop the kids in primary calling me 'Alien Eye' though. I never used to like the fact I had this but now I realise it's something I do like about myself! I inherited it from my Grandma. Her Grandma had it and I'm hoping to pass it on if I ever start a family :)
