I personally gave up alcohol for the first couple of months - I'm a binge drinker and drink cider lol one of the worst things on plan. That was where alot of my weight had come from though (that and the late night takeaway!) so it did work for me x
Several times I've experimented giving up.... I too find that my losses are generally better with alcohol, and gain or STS when I don't drink??? But hey, we're all different
