Do you cal count on up days

I want a diet where I'm not obsessed with food all the time. I don't mind calorie counting on the fast days as its only 2 a week. I want to just eat normally for the other days, but it seems most people calorie count every day (if so why not cal count only instead of fast?) do you just eat normally or do you restrict your calories every day?

I wouldn't say I count calories everyday, but I do log my food every single day on my fitness pal, even on my binge day I log everything. So if I don't get a good result when I weigh in I can look back and see what needs to be improved in my diet. Xx
