Do I need a GP to sign off on me doing CD? I just noticed someone else mentioned it. I had to do this to follow LL last year and it cost me £60 cos our GP won't sign anyone off on VLCD so I had to pay for it to be done privately.

It depends on your medical form SJ. Most people are ok - but once you've completed your medical form your CDC will tell you if you need it countersigned by a Doctor - most people don't, especially as you've already done LL.

Generally is if you are on medication or have a bmi over 40
