Does any one else suffer from

fillymum

synful soul
Does any one else suffer from chronic backache. I have had dreadful back ache for the last 3 or 4 weeks and pain killers don't seem to make much difference.

Someone suggested it could be muscle shrinkage after losing weight........never heard that before.

It is bad enough to send me to the doctors tomorrow, a place I normally avoid like the plague.

Also does anyone else have to get up at least 3 times in the night to go to the loo. I seem to wee an awful lot more these days. The night trips leave me very tired the following day. Oh what I would give for a full nights sleep.

Sorry folks......whinge over.

I had back pain but also went to the chiropractor but it was an unaligned pelvis. It could be anything maybe u twisted it, c wot the doc says.

As for weeing in the nite I'm up every 2 hrs but thats coz I'm preggers lol

LOL, I would be worth a fortune if I was, way too old and had a hysterectomy . So no excuse there.

Just worried that the two might be connected.

I suffer with back pain something terrible at times. I've got heat pads, painkillers, sometimes I need muscle relaxants to kick in before the pain killers can start to take effect. It is awful and I do sympathise. As for night time loo trips, generally about every 3-4 hours. I've even restricted my drinking water to before 18pm in an attempt to solve it. Feel like a five year old lol

I don't have back pain but I have used a chiropractor for a trapped nerve. I had relieve after only 1 session. Over here in England it's quite expensive but well worth it.

I get up about once in the night to go to the loo:rolleyes:

I used to suffer with back problems but since loosing a little bit of weight I've not had any problems. It was also a nerve that would get trapped if the muscles were slightly overexerted.

Luckily my Dutch medical insurance covers a chiropractor (for a maximum of 10 times), it works like a dream. I would like to add that I hear many different stories whether a chiropractor helps, it totally depends on your problem.

The Doc is definately the best place to begin, good luck tomorrow filly Mum, hope it's easy to mend.

Oh me too but never get more than 2 hours before I have to go again. Consequently I am worn out.

Mine has only started since I lost weight but isn't that just like a woman. Has to be contrary lol .

The doc is a must with my medical history. Going to ask for a bone scan.

Thanks for caring enough to reply everyone.

If you are peeing a lot more and having back pain take a trip to the doctors to rule out a urine infection. If its a sever urine infection it can give you back pain.

I sometimes get a neuropathy to accompany my urinary tract infections and my skin on my back feels like its on fire.

Take a trip to the docs to rule out anything more serious.

I get up several times a night to go to the loo but I don't suffer from backache.

I had corking backache with a kidney infection once. But the only way to find out is to go to the GP missus and you are doing that so good luck for tomorrow!

i suffer with back pain i blame it on my job, normally a few pain killers and hot bath sooth it. if painkillers arent doing it for you , your right to go see doc.

It did and I thought it was down to that as I now eat so many more vegetables. It is so good to eat natural diuretics but what concerns me is it coupled with the back pain.

I think it is coincidental that it has coincided with SW. Goodness in every other way I have never been better.......still 4 wheels on this old wagon lol !!!!!!!

I get up at least twice in the night and never did before I started SW.

re: backpain. do you sit at a desk all day? You may need to readjust your chair to match your slimmer figure. There is nothing worse that an ill-fitting chair. and if you're short (like me) get a box to put your feet on if they dangle..
simple tips to readjust chair... you should sit right into the chair comfortably, when at a desk, your elbows should be touching the desk at right angles. your legs should never be crossed and positioned flat on the ground/ box/pedestal.

How did you get on at docters?

or have you not been yet?

thought it was today or maybe im having a blonde moment :D

Hello, hello. Sorry I have been absent for a whole 24 hours but my adsl line was down. How Hastalavegan went all that time without a computer I do not know. She deserves a medal.

The doctor sent me down to the practice nurse for a urine test. I was a bit disconcerted to see they had run out of the proper urine containers and I had to wee in a plastic water beaker. The loos are way over the far side of the practice so I had to walk through everyone carefully caring my dodgy looking *water* plus I was so embarrassed I had wrapped loo paper round it, so the whole thing must have looked even more bizarre.

Any way, there is no infection. She thinks it is inflammation of the lumbar region and has given me some anti-inflammatories. She reckons it ties up with the frequent urination as well. I have now had 4 doses and must say it all feels so much better. Oh joy !!!!!

Thanks for asking !!!!

Hope you get well soon! x

Thanks Kristin.

I am not poorly I was just in such pain, but I feel so good now I have succumbed to the drugs lol !!!1
