Omg your all making me so hungry!! And its only half 10.. ergh! muller light will have to do.. ill just imagine its a big juicy burger. and i LOVE man v food, is it weird that i think half of the food on there looks amazing! haha.

I might try making my own oozy cheese burgers. I just get a bit of cheese and squidge it in a ball and shove it inside some spicy chicken mince and then pat it so its flat and cook it. Holy moly its seriously nomlicious, especially if u put a bit of chilli in the cheese. Im making myself more hungrier.

I'm getting mixed reports about my Grandad so i don't really know whats going on. My Aunts keeping my posted as my Dad seems to just be hearing the negative and only telling me that! Fingers crossed things improve.

So full of yucky cold today :(
 
Morning everyone. Toni I know how your feeling both with someone you love being unwell and having a rubbish few years. I've been having the same and although you don't always feel like being on plan, I think it helps to have something to focus yourself on :)
I found both the motzerella burgers and the red onion sausages in asda this morning on 2 for £3 so ill be trying them both really soon. Planning on making the easy tomato soup for lunch but would I need my 3rd super free or do the toms count as enough? Ruth x
 
I'm too stubborn to give up, plus i've come so far already i'm not going back! Just wish when its totm i didn't have such strong cravings! Normally they tend to be a few days before but this time its continuing a bit longer, but i think thats also my current frame of mind with everything going on. GREEN DAY

Breakfast - 35G Sultana Bran (HexB) and 200ml skimmed milk (HexA) and a nectarine

Lunch - Tomato and Meditteanean High Veg Pasta 'n' Sauce (1 syn) - it says i can add 120ml skimmed milk to it but i cant imagine milk with a tomato based sauce?! - Cucumber/Lettuce on side

Dinner - Boiled potato (1 medium) and veg (carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach), LM Sausages x2 (4 syns)

This is todays food diary. I am having a blank moment where i can't remember if on a green day i can have 1 hex a and 1 hex b or if i have to make it 2? It's no problem making them up to 2 of each, i'll have 2 ryvita with cheese for a snack later, just cant remember if its what i HAVE to have or just an option of 1 or 2 a day.

Yeah just keep your fingers crossed and try to stay positive! I know what you mean though, my dad found a tumour in his throat late last year, and when we went to get it checked all he would process is all the negative information rather than the positive and it took a lot of time for us to get him to see that getting it removed will be a positive move for him especially as it will just keep growing and eventually become cancerous ( side effect of not removing it is that it will disfigure his face a little! )
I think its really easy for people to look negatively at things, but i truly believe if you think positive, positive things will happen! all that good vibe stuff!

I tell u my little secret to beat a cold, a shot of brandy with a bit of hot water in it and you down it in the evening before you go bed, then slather your face with vicks and olbas oil and u'll be right as rain in the morning! ( well it works for me! )
 
Aw tonianne :( I know exactly how you feel! It's horrible to get two sets of information and not know what to expect :/ I hope you get some good news soon and that your grandad is ok. Sending some hugs your way! If you're at work and you're that worried, maybe you can ask for the rest of the day off so you can go to the hospital and see him, or just to speak properly to your aunt/dad about what's going on?? Xxx

Completely forgot that I'm supposed to be going to a Chinese buffet place for dinner but I'm not too worried as I can just flexi syn :) determined not to let it unravel me already! Do you guys think 40 syns will be enough?? X
 
Just been to Morrisons, they don`t sell linda mccartney mozarella burgers :cry:

On the plus side I got the sausages so gonna have them for tea :)

Hope your grandad gets better, tonianne. I know how it feels to have someone you love going to hospital

I'm definitely a believer in thinking positively, although the last few years have definitely tested my patience with that! I lost my Mum to cancer last year, she had a brain tumour (initially she was diagnosed in april 2008, had it removed but it returned in sept 2010) so i know how difficult it can be. Hope all goes well for your Dad xxx

Its helpful getting things off your chest, particularly to people who aren't as close as your RL (real life, haha) friends who in some cases will only say what they think you want to hear. Feeling better for it already!

Im new to minimins!
I have done slimming world in the past and gone to group but this time ill be doing it from home! Hoping to stay motivated by coming on here for tips/recipes/other peoples success etc! :D
Ive got 3st 8lb to lose. I weighed yesterday A.M. and was 13st 3lb :(
I've never been lighter than 10st 7lb in my adult life (although i wasnt happy at that weight either!) so I'm hoping 9st 9lb is realistic for me to reach!
I'll be weighing myself every monday morning! Anyone else weigh on a Monday?
I've done my food plan for this week, all green and EE days! Today is EE! Hope I have it right as I'm doing EE purely from what I have read on here, it wasn't around last time I went to a group!
In the past I found red days harder as I seemed to feel hungry a lot, and..........i love carbs :p but i did find that my losses were bigger when doing red!
Am i right in thinking EE is one HEA and one HEB? Or can it be two HEA OR two HEB?! I know you have to have 1/3 plate full of super free, which is fruit and non starchy veg, and 'free' foods are everything that is free on red AND green?
Also, i wanted to run yesterdays food diary by everyone to see if I ate too much! It was a GREEN day!

Breakfast: 1/2 tin baked beans with 2 eggs, scrambled with dash of milk out of HEA allowance ( I microwaved it so didnt have to use frylight or anything!) and a black tea with 2 sweetners.

Lunch: Tomato and herb mugshot with 1 portabello mushroom and 1/2 onion chopped up and fried in frylight, then mixed through the mugshot.

Dinner: 2 quorn sausages (2syns??) mashed potato (no butter or milk, just a bit of white pepper), lots of savoy cabbage and a handful of garden peas. Made up gravy with a stock cube and added 6 teaspoons of bisto original gravy granules (1syn per level tsp?) but this was shared between 2 adults & 2 children with some leftover, so i think 2syns?. Also had 1 small slice wholemeal bread to soak up the leftover gravy :D (half HEB)

THEN about 8pm i was hungry :eek: so I had another slice wholemeal bread with 1 laughing cow light (HEA) and 1/2 tin beans!

That left me at 4 syns (i hope!) soooooo, ive read you should use all your syns........:D:D:D i had a mini pack of cadbury buttons - 75 cals per pack so am i right in thinking about 4syns?! I had those with a black tea with 2 sweetners, and also 2 rich tea biscuits which were 34 cals each so i synned them at 2 syns each?!
I synned them going by the 20 cals = 1 syn rule!
Total syns was 12! I hope!

I felt like i ate LOADS yesterday, but i didn't eat until i couldnt move (like i usually do :eek: ) so i hope i never overdone it!!

Thats so true! I find that too, which is frustrating, because sometimes you just want an honest opinion! - Although saying that I am the kind of friend who tells it as it is. If my friend asks me if what they are wearing is ok and its not, i will tell them to march back into their room and get changed! Dont you just hate them 'friends' who will say you look lovely even if you dont just so they look better! I could never do that! Reminds me of college days actually!
 
Tonianne - it's up to you if you want 1 or 2 Hex's but if your doing green then have 2 of each coz u can! Other than that have an EE day and add more potatoes n some meat? By the way hope your grandad is ok x

EE is all free foods on green and red are free, superfree is fruit and non-starchy veg (must have 1/3 of plate full of super free) then am i right in thinking its 1 HEA and 1 HEB? Or could i have 2 HEA OR 2 HEB?

Would someone look over yesterdays GREEN day for me too please? I feel like i ate too much!?? I only ate when i got hungry (except for my syns last night :eek: )

Breakfast was 1/2 tin baked beans and 2 eggs scrambled with dash milk (some of HEA)

Lunch was a tomato & herb mugshot, to which i added chopped mushroom and onion (fried in frylight first!)

Dinner was 2 quorn sausages, mashed potato (no milk or butter), lots of savoy cabbage and a handful garden peas, and gravy made with bisto original granules. Also had 1 small slice wholemeal bread (no butter) to mop up the gravy :p. So i used 2 syns on quorn sausages? and 2 syns on 2 level tsp gravy granules? and half HEB on bread.

THEN i felt hungry about 8:30pm so i had 1 small slice wholemeal toast spread with 1 laughing cow light with 1/2 beans! So had the other half of HEB and HEA.

THEN! I thought, ive had four syns, im allowed 15, so i had a mini pack of cadbury buttons at 75 cals, so i synned at 4! and 2 rich tea at 34 cals each so another 4 syns going by the 20 cals = 1 syn rule!

What do you think?!?!
