DOING SW FROM HOME???

1lb off for me this week!:) (not bad, considering all the party food I had  )

Grrrrr, STS this week, better than a gain, I know, but not what I was hoping for after yet again being 100% on plan. Might have to ditch the e/e and go back to good old green/red. Going to try and make more effort to exercise too x

Hi everyone,

Please can I also join?????! I went to groups last year but it all went down hill last July after my holiday and have put on about a stone since :( I have finally got my arse into gear and I really need to do this. I have decided to do it at home and after discovering this site last time, it'd be great to have some support from some lovely people!
Well, here goes......

good luck with your weight lose journey its great having people to share it with i love this thread hope you have a great week :)

i had the biggest boost yesterday i hadnt seen my daughter for a few weeks cause of problems with her pregnancy and all she kept saying was " i cant believe how much weight you have lost " i have to say it was the boost i need to get back on plan 100 % because it just proves no matter how slow it comes off people can see the results : )

I've been doing SW for just over 9 months now. I was going to a group but have now decided to go it alone!! I was finding group repetitive and boring, also the longer I was there the less support I got from the consultant! So far I have lost 2st 4lb, I'm hoping to lose another 1st from home. I've totally changed the way I eat because of SW so it shouldn't be too difficult, even if it takes another 9 months!!!

Hi all,

Can I join your group please? I'm now in my sixth week of SW & am really enjoying it. I've never been to group as I can't afford it but I do sometimes worry I miss some basic principles or good tips. I do keep a diary on here & check threads everyday.

So far I've lost 6lbs which isn't brilliant but it's steady. I have to admit to not being 100% all the time due to my regular socialising. I live on my own, 4 hours away from any family & as a result go out a lot. This often involves dinner & drinks so I can struggle with this but on the whole I think I'm getting the hang of it.

I've set myself a "mini" target of losing 1.5 stones, which I was hoping to do in 3 months but I'm way off that target. Overall I would like to lose 3.5 stones which would take me under 10 stones.

Em x

Hey guys, could I join you as well?? It'll be like our own support group.

I've been to group 4 times but I can't honestly afford it each week. I'm going to do it from home. I've lost 9 pounds so far but I'd love to get to 1.5 stone off! :)

I'm going to start by buying myself a bikini which I want to look sexy in during the summer time!

I'm going it alone too. I can't really afford the fiver a week and discussing my ups and downs in a big group isn't really for me... I can see how it would help lots of people, just not me!

I'm going to hang around on here, I have a weight loss/fitness related Tumblr and I always try to get the Slimming World magazine so I always have plenty of motivation and ideas.

Can i join? I've done SW a few times but find classes not very welcoming and clicky and want to lose about 2.5/3 stome by june to fit into my wedding dress, Ive looked thru your forum and the support here is imense.... hopefully I can add something to it too
thanks

Welcome to all of those just starting out at home! Good luck with it and well done on your losses so far!

I know what you mean about the classes - they're just not for me either and I don't get any benefit from it other than feeling embarrassed when she read out a gain or even a loss! Just not confident with big groups of people I guess! X

Hi,
I have two sons at uni at the moment, one in his first year and one in his last. Having to support them doesn't leave much spare cash at the moment so classes not an option. On the plus side, with the two skinny members of the family away, it has meant that the three remaining overweight ones( me OH and eldest son) made the decision to loose weight. We have bought a few SW books and guides and got started at the end of september when the skinnys left! Well so far so good. The two guys have lost just over 2 stones each and I'm hoping to have reached 2 stone tomorrow morning when we do our weigh in. Sometimes I'd like to be able to afford the classes but on the other hand there is plenty of support, information and nice people on this site! Good luck everyone.

Brummie, its so lovely that your family support each other :)

its 4 off for me this week and now 2st 2 in total since jan 1st,proof you can do just as well from home as at class, i consider minimins to be my class lol

I usually got to class but haven't been for a while due to the cost and I'm not sure I benefit from the clapping and stuff. I've had some time off it, stressed about work which makes me eat and I'm growing by the day so time to get myself organised! I'll be using you all as support and supporting you all where I can. I used to work shifts but now gone to 9-5 so struggling to get organised with the gym, food for lunch, etc.... *off I run to scour the website*
