DOING SW FROM HOME???

I'm gonna go to the aldi near me this week, I didn't realise a bus goes from my house to there until I took the puppy to the vet last week.

Well done on All the amazing losses :) someone said they were a bit dissapointed with 2lbs! Shouldn't be, remember we have to consume 3500 less cals to lose just 1lb of fat so 2lbs is amazing!!

Haven't really eaten yet today, so soooo hungry! Spag Bol for dinner, super filling! :) xx

Well done!! :) :) xx

I like aldi some things are soooo much cheaper! I went to pay on my credit card once though and found out they don't accept them! Luckily had cash on me so it was fine but I've not come across a shop that don't accept them before! Was shocked at the till after her throwing my shopping at me too :p ha

Had an EE day today, had homemade meatballs and spaghetti made with extra lean mince was delish!
Want to check though, passata counts as superfree doesn't it?!

Hi All

I'm new around here and I'm starting Slimming World from home so I'd like to introduce myself. I've tried both slimming world and weight watchers before, I've never been to a class so I find it hard to stay on track and after stepping on a scales for the first time in months today, I've discovered that I'm currently the heaviest I've ever been at 14st 5 (I'm 5ft4). I'm determined to stick with it this time and hope to lose a sensible 1.5 - 2 pounds a week until I reach my target weight of 10.5 stone. I hope to achieve this by Mid-October and it looks like this thread is very supportive of people who are trying to go it alone.

Well done everyone on the loses everyone, we should tally up how much we've all lost for the week and I bet we'd be amazed how much it was!

Yes Aldi annoyed me when it came to paying coz they did literally throw my stuff at me then I continued to pack my stuff and the cashier told me to put my card in the machine! I carried on, put my pin in then she gave me my receipt and started serving the next person! So I carried on packing then said to her as I walked out "you really know how to rush someone don't you!" I was being snotty but she just went "oh it's ok don't worry!" like it was me in the wrong!

Had a lovely tea...Mozzarella 1/4lb burger with Cajun SW chips and roasted veg! Mmm! X

I was 13st 13.5 on sept 24th & am now 12st 3.5 - it's definitely possible :) I'm 5ft4 too & have the same target as you. I'm currently working towards getting to 11st5 by mid march :) xx

Aldi always do that! its so irritating 1) because they dont even give u bags so you end up chuckin everything in the trolley and 2) cos the packin space is like the size of my head. what a piece of poo

but your dinner sounds yummy!

Just seen that series 11 of The Biggest Loser USA has started on Sky Living. Missed the 1st 2 episodes but catching up from half way through episode 3. I really love watchin this - I need a Jillian of my own!!!

The key to aldi and lidl is take your own bags and once you've put all your shopping on the belt thing, open your bags ready in the trolley. That way, when you get 'chucked' your shopping, it can go straight in the bags in the trolley! Result :)

If you can get over that scary bit, they are fab for bargains! I prefer aldi, fresh stuff so much better, cheaper etc and the super 6 is fantastic :)

If you take a look at the "January challenge" thread, there's quite a few people on there and so far it's tallied over 18st lost since 1st jan!

Ah that's a good idea! Ill do that next time! Thanks!

Loving all your Aldi experiences!! I love shopping in there, fruit and veg and 'happy' chickens are the best!!
I totally accept their crazy ways and if I don't manage to get stuff in my bags as they chuck, I have them all open in my trolley too, instead (as long as its not raining) I take the trolley and the bags to the car and pack as I put the shopping in the boot- otherwise if you pack at the shelf too the number of times you move your shopping from one place to another is even more crazy!! I guess good exercise though!!

Girls, just looking for some help. I'm still really struggling with my syns. I never seem to have any during the day!!!
Sometimes I'd use 2 for some raisins on my all bran in the morn but that's it!!
Any dinners I make are syn free (not by choice, just the way the recipe is!) and I wouldn't have sandwiches for lunch so can't use them for sauces?
So I end up sitting at night when the kiddies are in bed and saying to myself: I better have some crisps, chocolate, biscuits etc to make up my syns for the day and I'm sure that's not how there meant to be used every night?!?!?!

Does anyone know what does Brooke Bond note pad look like. My neighbour asked me to get her one. I was too embarrased to say I did not know what she was on about.

I just had a packet of crisps. You can have say meringue with fromange fraise & fruits or hot chocolate, nuts or anything else . Nothing wrong with using them on chocolates or biscuits.

How about using olive oil to cook your meals, rather than fry light?? Or choosing a cereal that isn't a healthy extra for your breakfast so you can count the syns for those, and have bread or something later in the day?
