Afternoon ladies, had a top girlie night in Devon, I soooo wanna move down there tho. It's crazy comparing house prices, friend has a gorgeous cottage, proper wooden beams, open fire etc, a real lazy Devon town and cheaper than ours in Bristol, crazy. Anyhow, totally blew sw! Had pizza, chips, garlic bread, sweets and lots of pints lol really needed it tho. Won't hit target next week now but maybe next week, oh well!!

just went for family walk that ended up lasting over 2 hrs and kids didn't even complain. unfortunately we then ended up in pub and chips, garlic bread and onion rings were easily demolished. oh well maybe the walk got rid of some calories before i consumed loads more!!

Sorry to hear you're going through this Charl. I'm one of those kids that had a Dad like this but unfortunately he was violent with it and I witnessed it on a regular basis. All I can say is that empty promises and apologies are ten a penny and they do not fix the broken hearts, the smashed furniture or heal the cuts and bruises. As a child I was petrified of coming home as I didn't know what I was coming home to. I know it's difficult decision, but because I've been a victim I'm quite adamant in my opinions of this - leopards don't change their spots and its not fair for you or your boys to have to put up with it. I will never be able to erase my memories & its not something I would wish on anyone. It affects my relationship now because I get upset if my OH shouts, simply because I associate it with my drunk, violent father.
I would like to believe that your partner will change, and if you stay with him then for your sakes I really hope he proves me wrong & does the right thing by changing his ways. Xxxxx

Morning all! (well morning for me anyway ) Like Sara I've only just got in after going out last night and OMG! Major drama, I'm such an idiot when drunk... So glad I'm giving alcohol up for Lent, and I might try and just see how long I can go without it after that!

I finely slice mine, coat my wok with fry light, add the cabbage and a good splash of soy sauce and lots of black pepper. Keep tossing/mixing it. Really good when it just starts to crisp up at the edges. The only way I can get my kids to eat cabbage. It really nice with slices onions and leeks bunged I. The wok too X

We like it steamed with onions and bits of bacon

Funnily enough (not so funny really) my dad was a manic depressive, schitzophrenic, alcoholic, awful mix of things. I'm pretty sure a lot of why I choose these people is due to that. I always befriend/ have relationships with people who seem a bit broken and I try and make it better. My dad died last year and he never got better, I think I find it had to give up on people because of that, was really hard growing up with that.

I always befriend/ have relationships with people who seem a bit broken and I try and make it better. My dad died last year and he never got better, I think I find it had to give up on people because of that, was really hard growing up with that.

My dads still the same now, worse since my mum died last year. It's very hard and I really hope he'll change but I really can't see it happening. He's too stubborn and unlike your bf can't see he has a problem and so refuses to go for any help.

I've just had a LARGE big mac meal with diet coke from McDonald's!!!!

My son had a taekwondo championship competition today and we were there from 10 thinking we'd only be a couple of hours but the crowds were bigger than expected and we were still there at 4!!
We were all STARVED so McDonald's was a quick and easy fix

Ah well, it's done now I guess!

I found something the other day that said they were, but I can't remember exactly where… I can only find the 'lamb style grills' now which were/are free.. I shall have another look later when kids in beds
