DOING SW FROM HOME???

Hashbrown success, lush and totally stuck together, woo! I squeezed the life out of it in a tea towel, added some spring onion and lots of s&p, gorgeous!

Probably being a bit dim but the photo is thr right way round on my camera so confused why it came out the wrong way round, will try lol

Start new job wed 10th so not long now. Got this week off too so actually only 5 shifts left now, unbelievably excited! How's you, what's happening job wise? xx

Is the new phone a samsung?? Mine's a samsung galaxy ace 2 and it always turns photos round if I upload them straight from the phone!! If I email them to my laptop then upload them from there then it doesn't happen :)

New job sounds so exciting!!


Morning everyone - Hopefully be rejoining you on SW after Easter :) Was going to try this week but know it's going to be terrible with family meals, easter eggs, hot cross buns etc... Don't want to just set myself up for failure!!

Getting horrible migraines atm - thought it was fasting but not so sure now as getting them anyway without fasting :( Heading to docs in a bit - last time I saw him about them he said the next step is to see a neurologist for tests like brain scans :( Hoping that getting back to SW and eating well again will help alleviate them a bit as well!

All this talk of hash browns is making me want to make one now :p Maybe Friday morning! :D x
 
Laura one of my best friends suffers from the same thing! She gets continues migranes for sometimes days and weeks and shes been going through it for 17 years. Docs first said to her she would grow out of it, but shes 25 and she is still getting them! I think shes going to see the docs again too for brain scans. Hope everythings okay!

and i want a hash brown now. Might try making them this weekend with a fry up that i always say im goin to have but never end up making!
 
Just a note that the 20 calories equals one syn rule only works for foods with no free allowances, eg crisps, cake, chocolate etc - it wouldn't work for soup as that will have 'free calories' like the stock, veggies, lentils etc :)

That's what I thought as the dhal is mainly water, veg and lentils. The only synned ingredients are concentrated coconut and cornflour of which they are less than 1.5%. Hmmm. Lol
 
Hi, thinking of stopping classes and going it alone at home, not 100% sure if I will or not, find getting weighted by someone makes me stick to plan more than if I pop down to boots and weight.

I've just done my 1st week of SW from Home, 6lb loss so I'm realllllly chuffed.


Hope you don't mind me commenting re the migraine thing hun...... I've suffered terribly for years (they seemed to get a whole lot worse after my brain surgery too) Ive been suffering 20+ migraine days a month for the last 2 years up until 2 months ago :(

I got sent to a top neurologist who specialises in migraine at Pinderfields hosp, they tried me on all sorts of meds (some quite good) but they also gave me loads of info on 'triggers' and 'ladder triggers' (where 2 or three things build up to trip an attack off when it normally wouldnt happen) I now have 35 injections of Botox in my scalp/neck every months on the nhs which has greatly reduced the number & intensity of attacks I get each month. This is only a trial thing tho, so I unfortunately, after the next lot have to goback on the tablets and wait til the headaches hit more than 15 a month again to qualify :mad:

The worst thing you can do is Fasting hun, (I've tried it-it really is crap for migraine sufferers) you need to eat at regular times. x

That is fab. How exciting.

I am still looking. Gave up tempting as it was not the right job for me. Now concentrating on my field of work, talking to right agents and applying directly. Got a few things in the pipeline and hopefully something will come up soon.

In respect of your photo email someone on Technical side like Pearce or Starlight and they might be able to help

I do SW from home so I don't have access to EE other than what I read and pick up from here. I figured out I eat one hex a and b, and need 1/3 superfree on my plate. So do I weigh out meat/fish? Rice? etc

I have no idea what is off limits or allowed on this plan as I only do green and I figured out red as it's basically the opposite. The link on here explaining the plans makes no sense to me which is why I haven't done EE to begin with.

Basically I need what is allowed and not allowed and if I have to weigh these things.

Basically whatever is free on red AND green day is completely free and unmeasured for EE. U must have 1/3 super free with all meals and u get 1xA and 1xB xxx
 
So I can stuff my plate with one big hunk of chicken, a huge amount of rice as long as I eat say half a BNS? If that is all there is to the plan, that makes a whole lot more sense then anything else I've read!

Yup you can eat as much as you like of the free foods as long as you balance it out with the superfree :) eg you could have a chicken breast stuffed with garlic philli and wrapped in bacon with some SW chips as long as you fill a third of your plate with a salad or some veg :) or cottage pie with lots of veggies in the sauce as well as some broccoli or something on the side just in case :)

Then all I need to do is heap the salad on the side? This is quite exciting, as you can see I apparently don't get out much!

That's right :) is very simple once u get the hang of it :) super free is fruit and veg yeah :) I got a little book called 100 extra easy days, u can.prob get it on Ebay. Its fab xx

Superfree isn't ALL fruit and veg - things like peas, sweetcorn, potatoes, sweet potatoes etc aren't superfree! :( Do you have the books?? If you google around you might be able to find a list of veggies and fruits that are superfree :)
