    Hi all,
I switched from exante working solutions carefully and moved onto Atkins. I lost 12 pounds on exante and need to lose another stone.I've maintained same weight now for three weeks which I was happy with because I went from no food on exante to food now Atkins diet since Saturday.
However, I have not lost one pound this week and been on my treadmill every morning for a half hour brisk "walk"
I think I know the answer. Take out the cheese but I need it! I've spent a fortune this week on food and without cheese It's going to be even more! Aaaarrrggh!
I've also been having milk in my tea so that needs to go I suppose. I'm thinking I might try another week as I've done this week and see if i lose and prevent the cheese being removed. Advice please?????

Hold on. Lets not be too hasty! When did you start atkins? Last Saturday? Its more than likely just the change over in diet and I wouldnt worry about it.

I take milk in my tea, cant drink it without it! Why dont you post your average atkins day here and we can scrutinize what you're eating.

It might be the cheese, but it might not. Let us have a wee look.

Yes it must be change in diet. I'm panicking because I've only got 7 weeks from my holiday and I can't afford to lose weeks!
I've been writing everything down every day and checking out with my friend at work who lost two stone on Atkins so I don't think it's what I'm eating. I've also cut the tomatoes and onions down.
    This is Thursdays day:
    Bacon and cheese for breakfast
Salmon and salad for lunch- didn't have time to eat it though!!
Haddock spinach green beans for dinner
Cheese dip (4g carbs) and cucumber snack

    What do you think?

Sounds fine to me. Give it another week and if theres no budging, maybe cut out the cheese for a week and see.

It doesnt stall me (I checked) but I know it stalls a fair few people on here.

As long as you're counting in every last carb (including the milk in your tea) and its all under 20g, I wouldnt worry about it just yet :)

Oh, and make sure you're drinking loads of water!

As Claire said, your body needs a little time to adjust from one diet to another. Some people even gain in the first week so a sts is a good thing for you.
Cheese stalls me absolutely instantly and I love the stuff . :(

HI I am the same as you.
I went from vlcd similar to lighter life. 500 cals per day. I then swapped to atkins, and was not losing much. I have the same weight as you to lose (which is not huge) so I expect the weight loss is slower.
I do empathise with you though it is so frustrating. I too use milk in tea and have been using cheese.
I have been making double cream milk and use this except for my first cuppa in the morning.
I am going back on Atkins induction for two weeks and hoping that more weight comes off.
    Sue

Hi sue! Great that you are in same situation as me. Not great that we are not losing. Im going to give it another week as I'm LOVING eating but if it doesn't happen I'm going back to exante again for a couple of weeks. My poor body won't know what's going on. I think when you've done a vlcd our bodies must just be thinking they only want to lose weight when we starve them. Still, it does work and the positive is that we can both maintain on this afterwards and not put anything or only a few pounds on.
I'm not missing carbs one bit are you? Are you exercising or not as I'm hoping mine must start having an impact soon. I'm only doing low impact on treadmill so it can't be that I'm building muscle. I bought 30 day shred and did it for a few days but I was scared I would tone and not lose so I swapped exercise with a view to doing the shred in July before hols. Keep in touch we can support each other :D

An important part of atkins is the fact that we eat, the body knows it's coming so feels free to drop the fat stores. If you've been on a vlcd then your body hasn't adjusted and isn't ready to trust yet. If you want a diet where you can eat then stick with it!
    Good luck:)

Yes its crazy that I've been on diets with no food!!!! I'll hang on with Atkins for another week but this stone needs to go so I'll have to go back to exante if nothing happens this week.
