Don't you just hate it when....

DYJHIW Everyone in the office is on annual leave so you've loads of extra work to do, you're tired and inexplicably in a terrible mood, your lunch has rogue sprouts in (bleh) you've got loads of housework to do tonight and a potentially pants weigh in to go to AND that 'Call Me Maybe' song refuses to leave your head. :sigh:

My daughter has had that song on repeat in her bedroom for days now!

Oh sweet Jesus help me! Yesterday when eating my shreddies (I heat them in the micro) I burnt my throat and was in the staff room so
Had to just swallow and bear it but I am in SO much pain today, walking even hurts if I jolt too much! Pretty sure I've burnt the whole way down Ffs! Any advice on anything I can't take to help healing/ ease the pain would be amazing, granted swallowing is a challenge at the mo lol!

And that would be my dyjhiw you burn your throat!

Chilled natural yoghurt?

And...DYJHIW after hearing late last night that someone you cared a great deal about died, you then get a phone call to say that someone else you care a great deal about and who has been struggling with emphysema for a long time is being sent home from hospital with a palliative care plan, large quantities of morphine and hospice support.

Really not a good day today...

Yes, absolutely. It may sound harsh but she has suffered a long time and has absolutely no quality of life. If she were an animal, we would have put her out of her misery with kindness and love by now. It's one of my best mates's mum, shes been almost like a mum to me over the years. My friend knows it is for the best too, she has been her mums primary carer for years now and it has been a real drain on her too. As sad as this is going to be, and who knows how long this may take, it will also be a relief. We knew it would come to this at some point, but she's got worse, then rallied, then got worse, then rallied again for years now. It's her time, and the more comfortable and easy it can be made for her the better.

DYJHIW you agree to be on the pupil discipline committee as an SEN specialist two weeks before the school decide they have to do a formal expulsion of a SEN pupil......soooo not going to be an easy week :( mum is very understanding and it is actually the best course of action (it will force the LEA's hand) but its just so sad that we can't help this student :(

Don't you just hate it when you do not have a clue what all the initials mean.

tough position to be in, but I'm sure you as a school have done your best for the pupil. sometimes it is for the best as you say x

DYJHIW: -

1. It's 11 at night and still 28 degrees in the house
2. School finishes tomorrow for 3 months!
3. You still look in the mirror and detest what you see

Night night all x

Sorry. It's just special educational needs and local education authority. The REAL hardcore acronyms are dotted all over my huge pile of exclusion paperwork and are seemingly blooming endless....... I needs more syns and more wine......

DYJHIW you get a text forwarded to you from your niece, that you barely know basically asking if all her pregnancy health problems are genetic so she can blame our side of the family!
Apparently we're to blame for Thyroid, Anaemia, and SPD!!! Then she's saying that one of these things (Her text was mispelled and text speak and even mispelled text speak!) is going to cause her baby to die or be disabled.

Googled the thyroid thing and it says it doesn't affect foetuses after 12 weeks (I could be wrong though), Anaemia is part and parcel of pregnancy and treatable as far as I know and SPD is common too I had that in 2nd pregnancy.

personally I think she's being a Drama queen!
