Drying out! 365 day countdown.

    So, similar to the 365 Day Countdown thread, and as a bit of an extension from the Dry January / FebFast threads, I thought I'd set up this new one for anyone who is interested!

    I, personally, am trying to cut down on my alcohol consumption and I thought that tracking it on here may be another way of keeping me focused. At the risk of sounding like an AA meeting :rolleyes: I have so far managed to succesfully complete Dry January (31 out of 31 days dry) and have so far only drank on two (special) occasions in February.

    If anyone else wants to join in, just add your name to the list (in alphabetical order) and update your progress as we go along!

    Oh heck if I said how often I drank I'd be embarrassed!!!! I am however trying my hardest to cut back and haven't had any since sat!

    Lol, I realised after that people might not be comfortable with it! Nevermind, it will keep me on track if nothing else.

    Well done on deciding to cut back too, it will have so many benefits towards your weight loss and general health x

    Quite proud to say that the entirity of January was "dry" and the majority of February has been two - only having had a drink on two occasions. Hoping to keep it up! :)

    I have stopped drinking at home but the rare nights I go out I like a drink.

    As an extra way of keeping me off the booze, I will give up alcohol for Lent. Even though I've only had a drink twice this year, and so am not really "giving up" anything, it's a way to keep me focused and away from the stuff!! :)

    Just wanted to drop in and say what a great thing you are doing Stevie. Such a positive step to take and you are doing so well.

    I rarely drink (last drink I had was a small glass of cava on New years eve), so I won't join in as it won't really be a challenge for me, but I will pop in to give moral support and cheer you along!

    Ok, confession time....

    I love to drink!!!! Ok, I said it!

    Seriously though, hubs and I had a real rough night, you know when you toss and turn all night and see every hour!? Well that was last night.

    He's on his way home, no mention of alcohol (phew) and i'm so looking forward to my tea and just sitting down after being on my feet since 5am and going to bed!

    Now thats the first monday i've felt like that in ages!!!! ;)

    Hi all. I gave the booze up for 6 months last year.

    I'm off it for lent anyway & I guess I'll revisit this thread after that & see how my commitment us.
