Attack Dukan! Round 2

Day 7 Pv day!!

Ok so weighed myself this morning and my loss is still 7lb but I'm over the moon with that! Only lost 4 round 1 on attack.
My biggest loss measurements wise was 2 inches around my waist. Other areas still the same or half an inch loss.
So today was my first PV day and I didn't manage any veg until dinner! Random as I have been sooo excited about it!

Today's food
Oatbran porridge with cinnamon
2 mackerel fillets
Roast chicken, roasted veg
Greek yoghurt with stewed rhubarb-so excited about this!!!

Tried to find wheat bran in tesco today with no luck! Where can I find it??
Made some asparagus soup for Tuesday.
Going back to Surrey for a few nights so see my friends and family, got a jam packed few days so need to be prepared food wise.

Thank you so much x
Cool shall be heading there tomorrow! Need to attempt some dukan bread. Xx

Morning

So I've decided to contain my suspense and only weigh myself once a week on a Sunday morning.
Feeling a bit bloated today so no way am I jumping on the scales just yet.
My stewed rhubarb and Greek yoghurt was soo yummy last night. Felt like I was eating a luxury waitrose yoghurt!
Finding it increasingly difficult preparing my daughters food. Still not over my love affair with bread, looking forward to the stage where I'm happy without it in my life. Will have to attempt some dukan bread this week.
Food for PP today

Oatbran porridge
Coffee
Omelet or scrambled egg
??? For dinner

I bought some turkey mince yesterday as its so low fat, no idea what I'm doing to do with it though?! Any ideas?

Wishing you all a good day xx

Hi Tuula
So jealous of the rhubarb! Sounds lush. Where can I get the bread recipe? Thanks in anticipation. Can't wait for Wednesday. :D

That rhubarb sounds lovely!! May have to invest...the only memory of that is my mum growing in when I was little and forcing us to have it with custard!

i made turkey meatballs once, lovely, with some shiritaki noodles, if your on a PV day make a nice tomato sauce with it :)

yep weighing ing once a week after attack is essential for me....can't risk seeing a gain otherwise I go into free fall!!

ive put a bread recipe on the recipe board solange..

xxxx

Day 8

PP day today and haven't had much of an appetite so haven't eaten loads...
Today's food ...

Porridge
Coffee
Turkey bacon and babybel lite omelet
3 chicken sausages (tomato & basil flavour)

The turkey bacon was yummy so might have to have that more often. Also the chicken sausages are way to nice to be good for you! Wondering if I should be skinning them first??

So I am now in Surrey for a few nights visiting my family and friends. I have to come every couple of weeks for my own sanity as I'm miles from anything in Wiltshire! Plus I have no friends there!

Soon as I walk in the door my mum has made a mahoosive lasagne and saved me some!
Told her no kandu on dukan mum! So I pulled my red milk out and we had a cuppa! Her fridge is now full of my food.

Tomorrow I'm meeting work friends and their babies for a picnic so will take my asparagus soup in a flask and the rest of my sausages.
Real test will be seeing my close group of friends in the evening and avoiding the nibbles! Will take my own I think...

nighty night xxx

I defo recommend the rhubarb, although mine was very green and I added a lot of sweetener so it wasn't so tart. Don't think they are in season but I might be wrong.

Meatballs sound good, I used to do them a lot the last time but with beef mince. I saw a recipe on here for dukan doner kebab using turkey mince, so might give that a whirl.

Xxx

Dukan Doner - awesome... am searching now!

Singing 'tomorrow, tomorrow there's always tomorrow, it's only a day away'. Rhubarb here I come and salad and veg, whoopee! Love to all. Ahh, this is the life!!

Day 9

So I have survived dukan at my mothers for 24 hours and socialised with my friends without cheating! Just wish my dad would stop offering me food which is obviously not diet food like tiramisu (my fave)

Today's pv food
Porridge
3 chicken sausages
Chicken breast and huge salad
Yoghurt and rhubarb

Went to see my girlies tonight, don't get to see them often as I'm a country bumpkin. Emily got more birthday presents and they got her the nicest looking/smelling/tasting (so I'm told) Victoria sponge birthday cake and were mortified when I declined a slice!
Nope not even a slither. How could I refuse to eat my babies first birthday cake they said!!? Maybe because I ate almost half of one just over a week ago...anyway we are all bridesmaids for one of the girls in March and currently I'm the chubby one so I passed on the cake and sat there watching them scoff the lot!

My tummy is rumbling today so going to bed now to dream of Victoria sponge
Xxx

Amazing willpower there Tuula... should the occasion arise again, perhaps bring your own "cake" with you so that at least you'll be chewing at the same time as them!
No need to skin the sausages (but remember they contain some kind of filler, ie carbs, so they count as tolerated ingredients and can slow your loss).
Rhubarb is definitely in season. My usually small patch is humungous at the moment... I love the stuff! :D

Thank you maintainer! I know I should have come prepared for the cake incident, I did feel like I was missing out big time. Especially when I was feeding it to my little girl and sniffing it!

Great news about the rhubarb I shall stock up, stew it and freeze it! Wish I had it growing in the garden, it's delish! X

Tuula!! Amazing work on avoiding the cake - A thought that always helps me is "Shelly, don't just have a little piece of cake... because then you will want another piece of cake, and if you cheat once... what's to stop you cheating again, and cheating becoming a habit?" It's all the little incidences which add up, all the times you exercise your will-power muscle and show restraint that will lead to you weight losses. And the more you exercise your will power muscle, the stronger it will get.

Also, I like to think - "I've have Victoria sponge cake/tirimisu/(insert naughty) before, I know what it tastes like, it's not going to change my life"

You did awesome!

This temptation thing is interesting and important... a few times along my journey so far, I have thought... "just one biscuit, it will be OK" - but then sense kicks in and I realise this is the road to complete ruin.

The first few times I did that, I realised it was an important step to a habit of willpower.

Good luck and stay focused!

Your will power is amazing Tuula well done! You should feel super proud of yourself and there's always her next birthday when you're well into Stabilization :superwoman: xxx

It's true, it won't change my life it will just do the opposite of what I want to achieve. I will remember that next time I'm drooling over something I can't have! Lol thanks again xxx

Thanks Matt! We could talk ourselves into anything, make excuses all the time but its our choice to eat that biscuit so only we can decide not to. I also think the longer we resist the easier it will be to fight temptation!
Hope your getting on well with it x
