Eid Mubarak as far as i was aware is a phrase of greeting said amoung muslims to congraulate each other on holidays, meaning blessed festival, the appropriate answer to eid mubarak would be allah yubarak feek (may Allah bless it for you also)

xXxXxXxXx Eid Mubarak xXxXxXxXx

Eid mubarak is a greeting that means 'blessed festival' and the response to the greeting is 'Khair Mubarak'.

The greeting is used on the festival of Eid. Eid is celebrated twice a year, the first on the sighting of the new moon to celebrate the end of Ramadan and is called Eid ul-Fitr. We also celebrate Eid ul-Adha which lasts a extra day or two and is celebrated for different reasons but i wont go into that right now. I will be happy to explian it to anyone who is interested though.

On Eid we celebrate by having lots and lots of food, getting dressed up, seeing family and friends, going to Eid parties, recieving and giving gifts and money, some youngens hire out limos, we go to the pictures, we go out for meals (usually on wimmy road, lol), so basically we celebrate with family and friends in our own ways :)

I need to get back to helping mum with the cooking so i hope everyone has a lovely day :) xx

Eid Mubarak. I am restarting today too. The last couple weeks of Ramadan I gave up and stopped Cambridge. I didn't gain weight, but if I would have kept on the diet I should have been close to goal by now. Anyhoo no sense in sulking over that. I am ready to move forward and get back to losing weight. How did your day 1 go?
