enough/ too much water?

how much water are you all drinking?
i know the bag says 4 pints and i make absolutely sure that i get that down as a minimum but having seen scare stories in the media about over-hydration, i wondered what the ideal would be ........especially considering the "the more you drink, the more you shrink" philosophy?
pls tell me in pints, i dont understand litres!!!

You should drink at lease 2 litres a day. You will find it becomes second nature to you and before you know it you are drinking way more.
I am on 3 litres a day at the moment, and i am upping from tomorrow to atleast 3.5 litres.
Dont panic about the scare stories - if you even your intake out you will be fine!

on average I drink 3 ltrs which I sip during the course of the day, the media speculation is about 1 lady who realised she had not drunk her quota that day and set about drinking 3?ltrs in 90 mins and unfourtunately died as a result, so basically sip the water slowly thru the day and you'll be fine

A litre is roughly one and three quarter pints so 2litres is about 3.5pints and 4lts about 7 pints.... xx

I buy the volvic 1 litre bottle, and fill it with tap water, that way I know im doing it 3 times for the amount required. I split it up into three parts, 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon and one in the evening.

The dangers are if you drink a large amount of water in a small space of time, technically your body will dispel it if your stomach can't take anymore and its hard to do, so i wouldn't worry about it :) :)

I agree with demaris - i have a 1.5 ltr bottle fill that twice in a day and any more is a bonus - get a bottle 75ml/1lt/1.5lt or 2lt and that way it is so much easier to keep track than drinking pints ... of water obviously! :)

Like everyone else is saying - 4 pints is fine as long as you spread it out during the day and don't have too much all at once.


Here we go again!
When I started I struggled to have the 4 pints but now I'm up to 3 - 3.5 litres a day. It does get easier and I have my sports bottle to refill so I can keep a check on what I get through. Good luck!

im up to 4ltrs a day now too - whodve thought! i used to hate water - now i LOVE it!! :D
