Erica's weight loss adventure

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and Slimming World- my mum lost a lot of weight at SW so I'm hoping to follow in her tracks. I've tried WW before but failed miserably.

I thought it would be a good idea to keep a food diary on here to help me stay on track and get some much needed support. My first class is on Thursday, so i'll start my diary from Friday- ive got the determination & motivation to hit the weight loss head on this time as I'm the heaviest I've ever been & to be honest it's starting to get me down.

So here goes....
 
I'm sure you will do fine.

I gained 1.5 lbs this week :( good considering new year buffet spread and the house still is full of festive goodies mmmm.

I am hoping to draw the line and start again as of tomorrow :)

Well, I've had to change my start date til Monday- ill just be healthy until then & then it's full steam ahead. I've done some menu planning for the weekend so it's a start I guess.
 
Today's meals were:

B: didn't have any as I didn't feel too great when I got up.
L: 2 dairy lea light triangles (HEA 1/2), tomatoes & cucumber
D: savoury rice, chicken (HEB), mushrooms, babycorn, chorizo (4), homemade coleslaw of red cabbage, lettuce, carrot, cucumber with whole grain mustard & light mayo (4 per serving)
Snacks: coffee (milk HEA 1/2)
Ill probably have melt some chocolate in hot milk later as a treat & to use up my second HEA
 
Today is an EE day.

Brunch: lighter choice sausage (1), 2 rashers of back bacon, beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms. Coffee (milk from HEA)

Dinner: oxtail casserole with onions, celery, carrots, mushrooms, sprouts, baby new potatoes & steamed curly kale. Gravy made with oxo, Worcester sauce & a sprinkling of gravy granules (1)

Supper will be 2 boiled eggs with toasted soldiers (HEB) and possibly some chocolate (max of 6 syns)

Drinks: coffee & tea (milk made with HEA allowance), SF squash with water & sparking water

HEA: skimmed milk
HEB: slice of whole meal bread
 
It was very yummy- I just threw everything in a pot, except the potatoes & gravy granules and cooked for 4 hours- I put the potatoes in for the last 2 hours & the gravy granules at the last minute just to thicken the gravy up a bit :)
 
I'm officially at SW now :) weighed in tonight for the first time- I've set myself my first goal- to be at my wedding weight by 20 March which is my wedding anniversary- 13lb to come off so I think it's doable.

Ill do today's food diary after I've eaten my tea :)
 
Today was a red day.

I had grapefruit & a pear for breakfast.
Snack: cucumber & celery
L: cooked ham, whole meal roll (HEB), salad of lettuce, red cabbage, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, 4 pickled onions & balsamic vinegar.
Activia 0% yoghurt
Snack: 2 finger kit kat (5.5)
Dinner: chicken breast stuffed with Philly (HEA), steamed red kale, dry roast courgettes, tomatoes, mushrooms & babycorn.
Chocolate (10)

Also had HEA of skimmed milk for tea/coffee

Drinks: 3 coffees & 2 teas
 
Tuesday- red day today

B: 2 boiled eggs & whole meal toast (HEB)
S: cucumber and celery with laughing cow extra light (HEA)
L: homemade butternut squash & celery soup, ham slices & the remaining laughing cow. Activia 0% yoghurt
S: 2 finger kit kat (5.5), Turkish delight muller light
D: lean steak (fat removed), mushrooms, babycorn & salad (lettuce, red cabbage, cucumber, tomatoes, pepper) & a Turkish delight muller light.

Also had skimmed milk as a HEA for drinks.
Drinks: tea, coffee, water
 
Wednesday- today was a green day


B: grapefruit
L: jacket potato, 1/2 can of beans, 30g Red Leicester ((HEA), coleslaw made with red cabbage, lettuce, carrot, spring onion & wholegrain mustard (1) & ff natural yoghurt, ML Turkish delight yoghurt
S: ww hot chocolate (2) with 3 marshmallows (6)
D: 60g pork- fat removed (HEB), golden vegetable savoury rice, coleslaw made with red cabbage, lettuce, carrots, spring onion, pickled onions, ff natural yoghurt & a sprinkle of mustard powder.
S: chocolate (8)

HEA- 350ml s. milk for drinks
Drinks: tea, coffee, water, can of diet coke

Syns were 17, oops so ill have less tomorrow, hope it doesn't cause too much damage
 
Thursday- extra easy

B: toast (half a HEB), dairy lea light triangle (1.5)
S: ML Turkish delight yoghurt
L: SW quiche made with ham, peppers, mushrooms, small tin of spaghetti. Pear
S: penguin biscuit (5.5), pear
D: liver, cabbage, carrots, peas, mash potato, onions, gravy made with beef oxo & Worcester sauce
S: Special K cracker crisps (4.5)

HEA- 350ml s milk for drinks

Drinks: tea, coffee, water
 
Friday- red day

B: 2x mangoes
S: activia 0% yoghurt
L: curried veggie soup- carrots, parsnip (0.5), cabbage, celery, onions, veg oxo, curry powder. Pear
S: pear, 2 finger kit kat (5.5), 5 x Special K crisps (1)
D: chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms & light Philly (HEA), SW chips (HEB), salad made with lettuce, red cabbage, toms, cu, peppers, celery, balsamic vinegar, pickled onions. ML Turkish delight yoghurt
S: chocolate (8)

HEA- 350ml s milk for drinks

Drinks: tea, coffee, water

Syns: 15
 
Saturday- extra easy

B: 35g porridge oats (HEB) made up with water, apple, kiwi & 1tsp honey (1)
L: SW scotch eggs x2 (2), curried veg soup (same as yesterday's lunch (0.5))
S: 21 Special K cracker crisps (4.5)
D: SW doner kebab (3), SW chips, salad- lettuce, red cabbage, toms, cu, peppers, onion, dressing made with ff natural yoghurt, cu & lemon juice. 1/2 ww pitta (2.5)
S: a bit too much chocolate but I was filling in my tax return & needed it!!!

HEA- 350ml s milk for drinks

Drinks: tea, coffee, water
 
Sunday- extra easy

B: sausages (1.5), bacon (fat removed), mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans
L: SW quiche made with bacon (fat removed), tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, rice
S: 2x jelly babies (2), midget gems (4.5)
D: casserole- lean beef, carrots, mushrooms, onions, new potatoes. Gravy made with water, oxo, Worcester sauce. 1 Yorkshire pudding (4)
S: apple & custard (3)

HEA- 350ml s milk for drinks
Drinks: coffee, bovril, water, sf squash
