the Holford cookery book arrived today

and true to my normal cooking style I'm adapting

a recipe for bhajis

I've swapped the spinach .. cos I had none in ... nettles from the garden

and I couldn't face cleaning the food processer .. so the chickpeas are half mashed and half whole

It's looking like a yummy snack ... another 20 mins til cooked .. will let u know

so far .. my biggest problems with changing eating habits

1 .. cutting out the caffeine
2 ... persuading the coplet that he wants to eat whole grain

well

coplet had a taste .. he had 2 questions

is it healthy eating?
can i please have it for breakfast?

for my tastes .. should have added a bit more chilli .. but all is good if kid wants beans for breakfast

Sounds good. I have lots of recipe books and my plan for the weekend is to look through them and make a list of things to make.

looking through cookery books with kid today ... he's getting quite excited at some things he spotted ... thai fishcakes look like being a winner

I do enjoy the planning stage :)

Incidentally ... the bhajis were such a success that I made a bigger batch today .. this time properly ... if kid will eat them in preference to a mars bar as a snack .. can only be good
