Extra Easy: Newbie....help & tips please!

i'm new to SW.
I have been doing in on and off for a few months on my own with the support from everyone at work, I have all the recipe books and the EE book. I don't have time to go to a class :-(
I weighed 12.12 before I went on holiday and after 7 days all inclusive I don't dare get on the scales so its time to start!

my problem is: I work long shifts so I will eat from 1pm and not get home until 8/9pm at night. I can only have a snack at 5pm but want filling ideas that will still leave me to have a meal when I get home.

also I have the most pickiest partner in the world! he is so anti veg, so any good ideas so I can cook for us both
