Extra Easy Online - attempting to maintain!

Is anyone who has access to the syns calculator able to help me work out the syns per biscuit for this recipe please? It made 48 biscuits.

- 225g/8oz unsalted*butter

- 25g sweet freedom

- 200g/7oz soft*brown sugar

- 150g/3½oz*plain flour

- 2 tsp*baking powder

- 1 tsp sea*salt
*
- 4 tsp*ground ginger

- 2 tsp ground*cinnamon

- 200g rolled*oats

- 2 free-range*eggs
, beaten

- 50g crystallised ginger, chopped

PatchworkPuss very kindly supplied the syns for me and I've worked them out as 4 syns each. I made some smaller ones and a few larger ones so I'm calculating the small ones at 3 syns and the larger ones as 5 syns.

Here are the workings out for my future reference...

Butter 9 syns per 25g - 81
Sugar 5 syns per 25g - 40
Flour 4.5 syns per 25g - 27
Baking powder 0.5 syns per tsp - 1
Oats 4,5 syns per 25g - 36
Ginger 4 syns per 25g - 8

So that's 193 syns for the whole batch, divided by 48 means they are 4 syns each!

Thanks again for your help. That's fab and not far off what I thought they'd be!

Orzo is lovely. Waitrose and tesco do it. I first saw it on nigella as a kind of pasta risotto. Great for putting in soups too :)

I got the fish from tesco. It's tesco finest and is in the frozen aisle. The orzo I got from Asda I think. The fish is boneless and you cook it in the oven or grill from frozen so it's very easy.

I feel like a whale, have been getting zero exercise, and despite on plan meals I've been snacking on crap since we've moved and yet this is what the scales said this morning...

Plus it's TOTM. Either my scales are broken or its a frikkin miracle! In a weird way I was hoping they'd say higher so I'd stop snacking on chocolate constantly. Or quite possibly I've found a way to maintain!?! Sensible SW friendly meals sticking to 1/3 SF and 1 HEXa and 1 HEXb but allowing myself more syns? Maybe it was a fluke but we'll see what they say next week.

I've finally taken some pictures of the house!

House looks fab! Love the brick tiles in the bathroom. I was looking at that type of tiling for the kitchen in ikea yesterday.

Also love your dining chairs but I would be scared of red wine ;-)

Everyone seems to like the bathroom but it's actually my least favourite room lol! I find it really masculine and not at all my taste. I do really like the white tiles but they've used black grouting and I don't like that they cover the whole wall. I would prefer a few rows of them instead and I also like them in kitchens. We're hoping to be able to extend the bathroom over the kitchen so we can have more storage in there and a separate bath and shower. We're so excited about what the place will look like when it's done. It's perfect for us as it's a great house as it is but there is SO much potential!

All the furniture in the dining room was left behind by the previous owners apart from the chairs which are the only pieces of furniture we own that I love. A glass of wine has been dropped on one but luckily it was white! We need to make the most of them before we have kids. I love light coloured furniture but we've been looking at sofas and I know we need to be more sensible and choose something darker for the inevitable sticky fingers etc. Cream carpets are also a no go as our rug in the living room drives me crazy.

New wardrobes arrive on Tuesday! Yey. Once the new bed has arrived I'm going to start thinking about a colour scheme for the bedroom. I like the idea of green and white but I'm going to see how the furniture looks together first. We also want to get rid of the wall lights and the spotlights in the bedrooms as we hate them so not point in redecorating until they're gone as we'll need to replaster too.

No I post stuff to a private tumblr so I can come back to everything I like. I don't really get how to use pinterest.

Yeah I'm probably doing the wrong thing with pinterest but as far as I can see you make various boards with whatever name you like. Then browse through various pics within areas of your interest such as food, kitchen design and education and then repin them to your page under one or the catagories you have created. It's fun :) i only started this week!

I have no idea what either of you are talking about lol.

Haha I know what you mean there's always something new! Tumblr is just a blogging platform that I use to upload pics to when I find inspiration. I have a home one and a wedding one!

Right so I know this probably is a good thing to most people but I keep losing weight and it's completely confusing me. I am eating so badly and doing zero exercise and yet I am now half a stone under target! I weighed in this morning and I'm 9st 7lbs. If I was trying to lose weight this would be amazing but I'm not so it's just leaving me confused and a teeny bit concerned. I think I might enter a few days of meals into MFP and see if I'm having too few calories despite feeling like I'm out of control.

I've entered my weight and in order to maintain my current weight it advises I consume 1860 cals a day.

Yesterday's Food Diary...

Breakfast - 1 banana, 2 strawberries , handful of blueberries, 0% greek yoghurt, 1 tsp sweet freedom (214 cals)

Lunch - 1 WW petit pain, 30g homemade smoked mackerel pate, 1 slice smoked salmon, smoky bacon pom bears (358 cals)

Dinner - 1 chicken breast, 1 slice small warburtons wholemeal, half a pack tesco maris piper mashed potato, frozen mixed veg, bisto gravy (476 cals)

Snacks - funsize maltersers, mini bag of animal biscuits, 6 mikado, 1 oaty ginger biscuit, 4 tea w/ skimmed milk (385 cals)

Total cals = 1433

Today's Food Diary... (updated)

Dinner - Chilli con Carne (425 cals), 75g boiled rice (270 cals), 10g cathedral city light cheddar (31 cals),1 tsp olive oil (45 cals)

Snacks (updated) - 25g sugar puffs, 2 mikado, 1 borders strawberry & cream shortbread, 1 digestive, 1 oaty ginger biscuit, 3 tea w/ skimmed milk (398 cals)

Total cals for today (updated) = 1717

Wow I must say I am really surprised! If I eat like this daily (WITH chocolate and crisps) I'm still under my recommended calorie intake. It says that if I continue eating this amount of calories in 5 weeks I'll weigh 128 lbs which is only 9st 1lb!!! I seriously need to rethink my eating habits. It's weird as SW is so ingrained I don't really know how to retrain my brain to eat other than this way. I am still having meals out, alcohol and takeaways so I thought this would balance it out!? I never thought I would ever be in this position tbh. Weird!

Hey love. Just up your carbs a bit. Should help you balance, your breakfast is an awesome SW breakie but target breakie I'd add some toast or cereal too xx
