Extra Easy Online - attempting to maintain!

Yeah we go out separately but do spend a lot of time socialising together too. I need my time with my friends and he has his nights out with his work mates. I could easily spend all my time with the OH but I think it's important to have those evenings apart. I enjoy seeing my friends on my own sometimes for a girly night out or a catch up dinner which is what I did last night. I'd love for us to have a 'couple' to hang out with though that we could go for dinner and stuff with but most of my friends are single or live miles away.

Vintagepockets, I'm sure you'll find your way soon - you sound young and I'm 36 and it only really has come together for me in the last year or so! Sounds like there are opportunities out there for you - what about freelance media and writing for magazines? Anyway don't listen to me - I know nothing!

Tracy, I would be the same if I wasn't living with the OH. Once you are you will settle about it all, I am sure :)

cor, that egg and chips (and the rest) looks gawjus!

Thanks book_lover. Yeah I’m only 26 and my Mum and my OHs Mum both say to me that their careers didn’t really start until after they had children so I need to stop putting pressure on myself. I just would like something that I can get my teeth stuck into and will give me job security and the support and opportunity to work my way up a career ladder. Then when the time comes to have kids I will have something I can come back to and not have to start right back at the bottom learning something new all over again. I am so bored of being the junior/assistant/dogs-body. I just want to use my brains and feel challenged.

We're off to Manchester today for more house viewings so fingers crossed we see something we like!

I also jumped on the scales this morning and I was 10st 3.5lbs. That means I'm exactly between 10st and 10st 7lbs so I'm at target! Yey! I also ordered some more clothes and I am now officially a size 10 as the size 12 top I ordered is too big. I'm going to keep it anyway as I wanted it to be loose fitting but very chuffed.

I'm going to try to keep in plan as much as I can today. We had mixed berries, banana and yogurt for breakfast and I've packed us a lunch of wholemeal rolls with cheese, ham and salad and velvet crunch. We're staying overnight so we'll be eating out for dinner so hopefully we'll go for noodles or somewhere that does pasta.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Yum, that lamb tagine looks absolutely gorgeous! What lamb cut do you use it? Lamb isn't really something i've bought before, although i have eaten and enjoyed it many times.

When will you know more about the house? Do exciting!

It really is, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. I normally buy Sainsbury's be good to yourself lamb chunks, but for this I used Tesco healthy living lamb steaks and diced them into chunks.

We're still sorting out a mortgage agreement at the moment. As the OH is on a leave of absence they need extra paperwork etc to prove we can afford the mortgage. It's frustrating as the amount we want to borrow is much less than the OH can actually afford once he's back on salary but it's all risk aversion on their part I suppose. We've got a meeting at the bank today so hopefully we'll get things moving! We have informed the owners we're interested and to let us know if there are any offers. We're also going to go back up on Saturday as we want to build an extension, which the neighbours have already done. They've been really nice and organised for us to have a look around the neighbours house too so we can see what they've done and what we could do.

It's really exciting but I'm not getting too ahead of myself. What will be will be and all that! :)
