Extra Easy to a leaner me!

Is it worth having a chat with your consultant about this. They do have some tweaks when it isn't working for people. Success Express was what they used to pull out of the bag but I think they have something else now.

Thinking about it, have you tried success express? I think my surprising loss last week was down to having at least half rather than a third superfree foods and snacking on fruit and tomatoes rather than anything else. Mostly that is ;)

You'r doctor didn't suggest anything for the water retention, or talk about your kidneys? I'm wondering, and this is a very mild wondering NOT medical advice, whether taking a gentle herbal anti diuretic might help? All I know of is dandelion so your googling and enquiries would be as good as mine. X
 
I do take aqua-ban herbal :) looking at my eating over the last week or so it is basically success express. Loads of fruit, loads of veg etc. I'm thinking the thirst and water retention is due to my medication, nothing else explains it. When I spoke to the consultant last week she put it down to not eating enough. Let's hope she was right because I've been making a big effort to eat more.

TUESDAY - ORIGINAL DAY

Beautiful day today. Sun shining, flowers look gorgeous in the garden.

A) 350ml skimmed milk
A) 40g reduced fat cheese
B) hi fi bar
B) hi fi bar

Breakfast;
Banana, 2 kiwi fruit, strawberries and a skinny cappuccino muller light.

Lunch;
Nothing

Tea;
Chicken and pepper curry with salad

Followed by..
Strawberries with fat free Greek yogurt and quark with sweetener sugar and vanilla essence.

Eating too little can slow your metabolism right down so you end up not burning the small amount of calories you eat but store them instead.

You will lose I'm sure but don't be disheartened it will come off. You might be someone who loses in chunks then slows and so on. I would have 2 disappointing weeks then a great week, then a little loss etc. just think, you are being healthy and when you go back to gp in a month I bet your results will look much better xx

I know you're right I've just never had a week on SW EVER where I've been 100% and maintained In fact I've never had a week on SW where I've not either gained or lost and it's threw me a little so I'm panicking because this plan is all I'm comfortable with to be honest and if this stops working I'm basically fcuk'd. Of course I've become scale obsessed again....it's madness and I've got such a long way to go, I'll be bonkers and incoherent by the time I near target...oh wait, hang on! :D

P.S: yes you could hear it and the farts before during and after too. Especially if him next door was on an early shift and decided to go before work and our house was really quiet because everyone was still asleep.
Hard work making eye contact and small talk while you're getting your shopping out of the car later and he's on his drive rambling about how uncomfortable it is riding his push bike to work lol :D :D :D

Thinking about changing and swapping my days around but I'm such a creature of habit that I chose a day and stick to that plan all week.

Hay fever bluerrgh!!!...not good. Didn't sleep too well either I'm sure that's affecting appetite and metabolism.

Anyhow got off my arse and took myself off for a very long walk (an hour and a half) stopped off at the outdoor market and got a punnet of apricots, 3 punnets of cherry plum tomatoes, 4 extra large red delicious apples, 2 pink grapefruits and a melon all for £4. I doubt they'll last until the weekend but that's ok.

Had a mooch round the charity shops, coughing,sneezing and spluttering and wheezing. Lots of people giving me a wide berth thinking I have a lergy lol.

Your fruit sounds a good deal. Get anything nice in the charity shops. Funnily enough, I did much the same this morning, minus the hay fever. Poor you.

I didn't see anything much. My favourite junk shop is just round the corner from where I live but isn't open on a Wednesday. I've had some brilliant bargains from there, clothes as well as furniture and stuff for the kitchen and garden. Me and my mum would always do lunch on a Tuesday then travel to all our favourite charity shops some even 25/30 miles away, it's not the same without her x

Food has been terrible today...or should I say lack of it. Zero appetite cant even push it down, don't know what's going on with me lately at all :( the weight should be dropping off me and I'm having to shove food into me just to say I've eaten all the while feeling bloated and thirsty.

No use filling in my diary tonight because all I've had is my healthy extras, a few cubes of cooked chicken and some pickles and cherry tomatoes.

Weigh in tomorrow at class. My scales say I've gained 2lb - I'm pee'd off and floored by all this.

Doing green days from tomorrow for a week to see if there is any difference in my appetite and weight loss.

On a nicer note - my strawberries are growing up :)

Strawbs look great. Mine were great this year but as they're on the floor and we've got a rat I left them for the blackbirds. Rasps looking good too at the mo.

Have a chat with your consultant. You have been 100% and no way you should gain if that is the case. I was 1.5 heavier this morning and although I can't say I've been on plan I haven't eaten large amounts. Just wrong things and no way enough to gain. Something in the water!!
 
OK, yeah, know the theory about hanging onto every calorie because of being in starvation mode. But really, if you are eating as little as this you should be losing not gaining.

When people get ill and can't eat they lose weight as a general rule, even if the weight does go back on afterwards. I've seen it happen to others and been there myself. There is something wrong here Lisa. See how it goes at the group tomorrow, report back here, yes?

Not wanting to be alarmist, but maybe another visit to your GP? Did you mention these symptoms when you were there before? Unless, you are in your menopause? Or perimenopause? That can do weird things to your metabolism for a year or so. I just googled perimenopause and the website I looked at had a list as long as your arm of things that could happen then, including periods of bloat and weight gain. X

I'm beginning to think my medication is to blame. I'm considering lowering the dose because all this is getting me down to be honest. I actually can't remember the last time I felt fit and well. I'm going for my weigh in this morning at class but I'm not staying because I feel and look drained. I'm just not up for it this morning at all. Feel like I've been awake all night :( xx

What can I say but, HUGS. People do hit plateaus and come out the other side. To mix a metaphor or two. But your health does not sound good, can you take it easy and look after yourself for rather more than you normally do. Platitudes like at least it's not a gain don't seem very helpful, you must be gutted after all your efforts. Not just SW, but other things you've done to improve your health. More hugs X
