My life has been an emotional rollercoaster the past 10 days. Things have been hard for my mum, sis and I and it's not going to get better in the next couple of weeks.

We finally found out when the funeral is. I have postponed my operation for a week so they don't clash. I have been relying on LT to get me through - food would have choked me. Then a potential timebomb reared it's ugly head yesterday. I won't go into details but basically my mum has been overlooked by my bro-in-law in the newspaper notice. Fortunately it is not a paper local to us so she doesn't have to see it but if she asks things are going to be harder for her than they already are!

Well that hit me very hard and I cracked - turned to the chicken again! Typical me, turn to food in times of crisis!!!!! I managed to avoid the children's cookies and other weekend treats but it was hard! I had a couple of pieces of chicken and a red pepper! OMG I felt grim afterwards! I still have a long way to go and a lot more to learn! I just hope I haven't ruined the WI results from yesterday!!!

WI! Well I weighed in early last week, 5 days in, then again on Tuesday, another 5 days later, and again yesterday morning, which will be my usual WI day. I lost 3lb, 3lb and 0.5lb!!!!! WTF! Oh well, it was 6.5lb over the fortnight but I had hoped I had lost more than 0.5lb in 4 days!!!:wave_cry:

Hope you have all had a good weekend.

    xxxx

I don't really know whats going on with your mum as i've not been around constantly for a while but whatever it is i hope things get better!

Ya know, turning to food is something pretty much all of us have to try and overcome. Habits really dont die overnight on this diet, i have learnt this by being off TFR. It will take a very long time for us to retrain our thoughts and emotions connected with food, sometimes it might not be changed completly but atleast we will be in a better place to be able to understand why we turn to food.

I am sure some chicken and a pepper wont hurt your weigh in, you may feel hungry again for a couple of days but just dust yourself off and keep going :) :hug99:

Thanks hun. My older sister died 9 days ago and my mum and younger sister were both away at the time so didn't have the opportunity to see her before she died. I did, I saw her the evening before she died and the next morning after she had. It has been a pretty cr*p time for us all! We have the funeral to get through next week.

You are doing so well babe. Take care.

    Hey,

I wouldnt beat yourself up over having a little bit of chicken. You are being very strong, I don't think I could do what you are doing, so please do not feel bad over having healthy food.

We both know that LT is not a quick fix, and loosing weight is not a race. A long term mind set is best, and you have been through so much, that I am amazed at your willpower and determination.

Stay healthy, and look after yourself, I hope that the funeral passess off and your sister has a nice send off.

    Love and best wishes,
    julz

Ah chick :( You are have a tough time of it and look how strong you are being!! I admire you. At a time like this most of us would turn to food for comfort but you are doing exceptionally well, keep it up and stay strong honey :hug99:

You're going through an incredibly difficult time so don't beat yourself up for comforting yourself in WHATEVER capacity hun.

You're doing brilliantly to still be losing weight during all of this.

    Take care

    Big hugs

You have other things to focus on babes. If this diet is a source f comfort and distraction for you, excellent. But if you eat healthily to get through this awful time no one should blame you -least of all yourself. LT will always be there.

I hope it all gets easier soon.

*Hugs* I was thinking of you CuddlyFairy.

Can't stress make us hold onto our weight? I think my Doctor once told me that, as when My Mummy died I didn't eat at all and I never lost a pound.

Cuddlefairy, I don't think chicken and red pepper is going to make any difference, you have so much on your mind and my heart goes out to you... Take things one step at a time and take care of yourself and your family x x

I wouldn't worry about the chicken & pepper - I'm amazed you've managed to stick to LT.

I do hope the funeral goes OK. Take care.
