Help, I am going to the indian next Sunday - (for an all you can eat buffet!!), I cannot get out of it and none of my family know I am on CD. I can't not eat.. and although I can fill up on shakes before I go, I will be required to eat something... I was thinking rescuing some chicken out of a curry?? and salad??? I am lucky I will have my 14 month old with me, so I can mess about with him.. but I know people will be watching making sure I am eating... hubby can eat enough for the two of us, but I need to make a gesture as my dad is paying for it too... I can order a jug of iced water so that won't be a problem...What does everyone think??Love

My lo-carb fast food diet book advises, when eating out at an Indian restaurant, to stick to the following:

    chicken or lamb tandoori
    meat kofta
    lamb rogan josh
    chicken or lamb korma
    prawn madras
    balti lamb or chicken
    rogon chicken

NO rice, naan, popadoms, dahl or samosas.

Salad is ok, just stick to 'green' things!

    Hope this helps.:eat:

If you let me know what you usuallly like to eat when having an Indian I will see if it says anything else in my book.

Enjoy your meal, try not to eat too much, all the above should keep you in ketosis.

Grilled meat, salad, no sauces, is probably the route to go, plenty of water and eat very slowly. You will be fine as long as you dont get in to the s*d it, eat more routine, which is very very easy to do!

Chicken tikka and salad (off the bone) or tandoori chicken and salad (0n the bone).
Drink loads of water and avoid the side dishes even if they are vegetables because they really are not that healthy (very greasey looking).
When asked about dessert I just say "oooh I'd really love a coffee please".

    Good luck!!

It is easier that way, my hubby knows and a few friends, I will tell them eventually, just not yet... I have 4 sisters and they will do anything to sabotage a diet... so I want to get to goal, maintain then I will tell them...

Wont they guess when they see how much you have shed?! Must admit only a few people know I am doing this - not even my best friend knows (although my family do..) was having a stressy earlier about a weekend we have planned in November - what will I do?! Hopefully by that time I will be off SS and can then choose. I refuse to come off SS before for anythimg or anyone cos reading on here - when you start to cheat - that its. The control is all gone and people struggled to SS for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th time etc.

    Good luck! xx
