Fat on meat

Hi everyone,

sorry another stupid question from me!

I have forgotten to ask so thought I would ask on here. I presume that when it comes to fat on meat, for example steak with fat on (or skin on chicken), that you always have to take this off before cooking the chicken? Obviously I do this at home but if you go to a restaurant and take the fat or skin off after it is cooked, does this still count as 'free' or not because it has cooked in that fat? Sorry this may sound like an obvious question, but I just wanted to be sure and follow the plan correctly

Thanks.

I count it as free still and I think I've read in one of the eating out guides published by Slimming World that if you remove the fat from a steak at a restaurant then it would be free so I guess that's the official line too.
