***** February Fitness Challenge *****

Another workout done yesterday.

I've had a bit of a meltdown (again) this week about my prolapse (again) so haven't managed to do anything exercise-wise. :cry:It's so hard trying to battle through this as it is impacting on every aspect of my life. Meh. I'll try and get something done today. xxx

Oh, Erryn. :( I'm so sorry you're having such a rough time. :bighug:

Thanks ladies. :) I've seen two specialists. The treatment is a pessary (tried that and bleurgh), surgery or live with it while doing a bazillion pelvic floor exercises a day. I've opted for the latter for the moment. I'm also seeing a physio once a week and a trainer who specialises in ladies with my issues. As I'm so young, surgery is not recommended as I haven't finished my family yet. If I do get pregnant, I'll have surgery as soon as I possibly can afterwards so that it's not hanging over me (or below me!) for the rest of my life.

I'll get there anyway. There are bound to be good days and bad days.

I did manage to somehow burn 1700 calories today though, so I'm not out yet!

Well done on still burning loads of calories :D

Hmm tricky with what best to do. as no point having surgery ahead of more babies as will all get worse again. Was the pessary uncomfortable or didn't work? Hopefully the exercises will really help

I did another KB workout but can't add from phone so will update list later ;)

I've missed a few workouts, as I came down with a cold. :( Knew it'd happen; everyone I know seems to be ill right now. Going to do my best to do as many as possible in what remains of the month, though!

I think next month I'm going to try starting couch to 5k for a change of pace (ha, literally). I used to run a lot in high school. Glad I'm not running in my parents' neighbourhood now, though, as mountain lions have been spotted around there!

Well done, SJB, on keeping up your good work!!

Hi guys! I'm baaaaack.

Had another setback with DD's nursery and had to pull her out, which coincided with DH's work going mental with him leaving home at 07:00 and returning at 19:00. I've finally managed to sort myself out by putting DD in the creche when I go to the gym. So that's 3 times a week until she starts her new nursery after Easter. I'm concentrating on pelvic floor rehab for the next 6 weeks and will build up my strength training slowly. At the moment it's no impact cardio with very light weights. Still, it's a start and I'm finally feeling more positive about everything.

I'm building up to doing a course with Ultimate Performance (*gulp*) which I want to start when we get back from our US holiday at the end of May.

Count me in for the March challenge!

Oh, and SJB - tmi alert but the pessary is MASSIVE and is really uncomfortable. I've found a great DVD to do each day which was put together by a female physio who suffered a prolapse but who has since returned to triathlons - so there is hope for me yet. :D

GSP - so sorry to hear you've had a cold. I hope you're feeling better now? Good luck with the C25K. I did a similar thing - 'Running Made Easy' to recover from a hip injury many moons ago and found it really helpful. Unfortunately I have to knock the running on the head for the moment (and probably forever) due to the prolapse.

SJB - awesome job! I can only hope I can keep up with you next month.

Great work Allan and Splodgergill as well. :)
