Feeling crappy ........I don't want to give up

I have been working out really hard the past 5 weeks jogging running, dvds, weights, watching my diet and did a weigh in and results were just crap. I lost 3lbs and gained probably 2lbs. I feel like giving up, feeling very frustrated. I'm trying to figure out a diet to stick to just unsure about everything now. Don't know where to start again.

Which (types of) diets have you tried?
- Not everything works for everybody
- Sometimes people sabotage themselves (speaking from personal experience) without even knowing
