Feeling very flat ( and fat ) after the wrong link click

It's nice to have a balanced viewpoint- thanks Melarnz

I guess we all get a bit territorial over what we think works, - I bet there are plenty of people on the VLCD forums (and others) who say SW is rubbish and didn't work for them!

x

I lost over 5 stones on lipotrim in 2008 and I put 6 back on and I didnt really get back up to eating anyway like I did in the past it just crept up over 18 months, SW is deffo the way to go ! seriously x slow n steady wins the race

there is a place for VLCD and its a good kick start for people who have a lot to lose, in my case It helped me realise how good it felt to be thinner, I wasnt in the zone then, i am now and im doing it this way because I think it works better for me

i have tried varius different diet pills, lipobind made me more hungry and i mean really hungry! i have tried herbal ones that just gave me diarrhea and high caffeine ones which gave me jitters, spots and an attitude problem. none of these have nice side effects yet slimming world doesnt have any nasty side effects at all. my skin is clear, i feel good and although im not impressed with the rate im losing at least i dont have to wear incontinence pads or take out shares in spot treatments lol. stick to what your doing, yours will stay off for life and youll feel great with it!!

well done on your loss so far :D

The slower you lose the weight the more chance of you keeping it off. VLCD are not the answer as it does not teach you how to eat properly.
Congrats to you!! Losing a stone is a great achievement and you should be very pleased! Just remember how much fat that actually is!

The counsilling was great and really made you look at why you were overeating.

Yep, this is the main reason I find the Lighter Life board so interesting to read, there's clearly a lot of thought - maybe too much, sometimes ;) - given to the psychological reasons for disordered eating behaviour. It's fascinating and very helpful for anyone with eating problems to read, I think, so although I could never have done Lighter Life myself I can totally see why it works so well for some people.
