Hi - I am at the end of week 5 and have noticed that my finger nails have hardly grown in the last 3 weeks. It's more noticeable because I have acrylic nails and when went for my last appointment they didn't need doing because there just wasn't any growth. It's really unusual for me, the technician always comments on how fast they grow. Anyone else noticed this???

not yet but I'm only in week 3 - I hope that does happen, cutting my nails gets boring as they are fast growing too!

Its because your body is in ketosis so all non-essential bodily functions / processes take a back seat for a while, this includes hair and nail growth :)

    Ah - thanks for that.

Wonder what other non essential body functions will slow down???? Haha
