First time on Slim and Save - hopefully last diet?

Strange isn't it? Hungry but not hungry :)

100% let's go! :)

I'm getting hubby on board with healthy eating starting next week too.
He has a lot of weight to lose so gonna start him off with just eating 2000 calories a day. He should easily start losing on that.
Now just need to think of things for him to eat. Dinners are ok I think just needs smaller portions but breakfast and lunch he is a nightmare. He will have 4 pieces of toast then cheese and onion pasty.
Lunch God knows what he has coz he is at work. Gonna start sending him in with a lunch and counting everything he eats.

I know my OH goes to the chippy or cafe everyday for lunch. He lifts weights but also has a bit of a belly, I worry about all of the saturated fat.

Feeling really down and tired today. Hope I can keep on track!

No I'm going to keep on track!! I'm going to get a loss this week! Won't feel down when I see lower than 11.6.
Good luck for today everyone x

I know how you feel, it's almost thar time of the month and my chocolate craving was through the roof last night. I have various flavoured coffees to see me through (try Beanies if your a coffee drinker) but it's not quite the same is it. Going to be really good though as I really want the 10's but my hormones say 'one creme egg won't hurt' ha ha

Try wraps filled with turkey and salad for hubby's lunch with a yoghurt and fruit. Make sure he eats something every 2/3 hours like fruit or a handful of dried fruit and nuts. He should find it easier then. Since starting this diet, I have become a feeder though. My families portion sizes are huge! Thankfully the kids are as skinny as rakes or I could find myself on one of these programmes on channel 4 :)

I don't do hot drinks at all.
I'm not feeling too bad today hopefully TOTM and bloating is on its way out.
Gonna go for a nice long walk today baby had me up from 4.45am this morning so I'm already knackered. Hopefully he will fall asleep after a little while.

I cleared out the wardrobe today too. Tried on all the shorts I took on holiday last year and they are all too big. Packed up two bin liners of clothes.
Now just gotta get some new ones. Don't think I will buy loads coz still not sure where I want to end up weight wise.
I think another stone would be lovely but don't know if that would equal another size?!? I have been wearing primark size 16s and only a few size 14s from other stores. Haven't tried on any clothes in so long I don't know how big/small they come up x

I get alot of my going out clothes (dresses, tops) from ebay. I wear them a couple of times then ebay them again. It's great for in-between clothes so you don't have to spend a fortune.

I got some patterned trousers from next at the weekend, they are a 12 with a stretchy waist band so they'll last for a while. Plus I can wear with flat boots for day, heels for night or flip flops in the summer. Smart shopping ha ha. Not according to my husband!

I might have a look on eBay that's a great idea.
Will have a look tonight once the kids are in bed.
My OH always tells me to go out and get new things but I have hated shopping for so long. Awkward taking a baby with you anyway but also horrible worrying the biggest size won't fit you! Or having to go into the plus size section x

I know what you mean but you look great! It's always nice trying clothes on when you feel comfortable with what you see in the mirror
I have hated socialising for so long as I dressed to hide my lumps and bumps and took no pleasure in getting ready for a night out.

Ebay is the way to go, or even put some of your old stuff on there so you have no excuse to go back to them?

I'm gonna see if my mum wants any of the shorts if not gonna pass them along to my aunt or a charity shop. I'm too lazy to ebay myself x

I can't get sausages off my mind today! Dipped in mayo. That is all :(

Sausages won't get me into the 10's, sausages got me into the 13's ha ha.

Chocolate hazelnut shake for breakfast, I will have some chicken soup to banish my savoury craving

I'm hoping for 11.2 this week then maybe the 10's next week. As soon as I see that 10 I'll feel like I'm on the home run!

Yes I agree as soon as I see the 10s I will be doing a happy dance coz I will be in goal stone x

Let's get there, I wonder if we'll both see it next week? I'm crossing my fingers!

Good luck both of you!!

Hey Lyndsey, sounds like you're going really well on your diets. I like the breaking down of targets to achieve the final goal - I guess half my problem is looking at the target figure as some unobtainable figure that is so far in the distance. I have been using a different diet for the last 3 months and have seen some good results (I've been using Slim Wise Ketone pills that were recommended to me by a friend - 8 lbs in just over a month), but I never found that kind of 'energy surge' that I've heard about on so many of these kinds of forums. What I found is that sometimes the activity needs to come before the realisation of energy occurs. Taking the first few steps jogging (my preferred routine) can be the toughest part of the entire workout. What I mean by that is by cracking open that yoga DVD and urging yourself to take those extra few steps after a long day unlocks more energy and you will find that you can exercise for longer. This does boost endorphins and waken your system up though, so don't leave it too late at night to do some good exercise - first thing in the morning is ideal for yoga, but that's easier said than done!

Fingers crossed as long as I see the 10s before the end of the month I will be happy.
Went Lakeside and got a few new bits today. Was surprised everything I picked up fitted!!
Didn't get loads as I still want to lose a bit more. So got t shirts and some jeans gonna leave the proper summer stuff another few weeks x

Thanks kelrob, I do pilates on a Thursday morning which has been a God send in terms of my posture etc. Yoga is not for me I'm afraid. Started weight training as well this week which would amount to me feeling hungry for sausages! I may start adding a protein meal in for those days just to help my muscle repair.

I will look good for summer!

Dont think I'm gonna get a loss this week, TOTM has taken me over had kfc yesterday and promised my eldest we would go out for a meal Mother's Day so will have to eat then too.
Gonna be 100% until then and then gonna do these last 2 weeks on step 2 100%. That will take me until end of March and hopefully into the 10s.
I will be then be moving up to step 3.

You need to have some treats, plus you're so close to goal so I hereby support your meals :)

I'm just downing the water trying to stave off the hunger, it's a poor substitute but after not moving much over the last few weeks I need to be strong this month *big sigh

These meals out and nights out do tend to scupper things. I've got a few things coming up but not till the end of may. I find myself mithering over coming out of ketosis because of the hell I went through to get into it lol! I suppose that's just life and a tough choice we have to make.
