Food Diary (...and the rest) of a Katerpillar

Woo hoo! Great to have you back Kat!!! :)
I was off plan for a few weeks too but have been back on SW for two weeks and shifted the Christmas pounds. Onwards and downwards from here :)

Wow! Just seen that you are back! Good to see you! I also had a bad spell over xmas put on 7lbs (eek!) but back on track now and working it off!

We also had an actifry for xmas and it is fabby! OH uses oil but when I am cooking just use frylight and he doesn't notice the difference! Hehehe!

Hoping 2011 is a good one for you!

Amy xx

OK, well here I am again with my tail between my legs!! :wave_cry: I thought I could go it alone – I was WRONG! :(

I weighed in last week at an all time high of 12 stone 1lb! I think it has taken for the scales to tip 12 stone for me to realise I need some help.

So, Minimins I hope that you will have me back and help me on my way! If it wasn’t for a few of you on here I never would have lost the weight last year and so I hope you accept me back!

OK, so let’s get down to it! I have been a lost lamb for nearly 4 months now so I may get some things wrong – if anyone spots anything please be so kind as to give me a hard nudge! :copon:Much appreciated x

Friday 4th February - Red

Breakfast: New York Cheesecake Muller light (1 syn) with 2 Alpen Light bars melted in (HexB)

Lunch: 3 SW Mini Quiches made with ham, mushroom, peppers, onions and cheese (HexA) and a bag of microwavable veg.

Snack: Very kind(!!!!) colleague went out at lunchtime and bought us all a bloody Buuble Bunny from M&S! I know I am sooooo ungrateful but I only told them last week I was back on SW! Anyway, I havw checked the syns and it was 6 so have duly scoffed it and it didn’t even taste that good! Never mind!

Snack: 3 x Clementines

Tea: Was going to do SW KFC Chicken but have changed my mind and am going to have Cajun chicken and veg with actifry chips (HexB) - ended up having 3 chicken breasts with peri peri marinade!! slightly embarrassing! But definitely a red day :)

1 large glass of red wine - 8.5 syns - not even sure why I drank it all am quick going off the vino :sigh: not enjoying it at the minute so would probably be a good time to give it a rest instead of having a glass because that's what I would normally do!

Amy, I have only used it with a sprinkling of oil so far I am scared to use frylight incase it sticks - how much do you spray on? Do you keep checking and spraying?? :D

Hi Kat - so good to see you back. WE CAN DO IT!!!

I haven't lost any weight since you were last on here, struggling a bit on an evening when I shovel in chocolate. Aarggh. And as described on my diary, the exercise isn't going great either!

It's my birthday on the 14th and I will be turning 28 lighter than I was when I turned 27.... and I WILL be lighter still by 29 :)

Sorry, I don't know about an Actifry... I would probably give it a go with frylight. If it sticks, you know for next time!

Don't do a disappearing act on me again ;)

I won't be going anywhere love! Am back in the zone yes we CAN do this!!!:p

It's my 30th (eeek!!) in 2 months and I am having a party to celebrate (double eeeeek!) so neeeeeeed to be looking delicious by then! Ha ha!! :D:D

Saturday 5th Feb 2011 - Red

Breakfast - Bacon sandwich with 2 slices of WM bread (HexB) and spread (2 syns)

Lunch - I made some spicy butternut squash soup last night with my new blender yum yum! Will amend the chili content next time though I think - tasting a bit curryish!!

Tea – Ended up late for work so did not have time to make any tea after doing the housework ALL day! So………ended up eating a hotdog with onions in a big fluffy white bum at about 10pm! Arrrrggghh!

I have, however, not touched a drop of alcohol! This is very good for me considering I work in a club where everyone drinks behind the bar and sist down with a drink after work! …..so I won’t be too hard on myself and must try to remember the 5P’s-
Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance!

Not sure of syns for today now the hotdog has been thrown into the equation! Will try harder tomorrow!!

Sunday 6th February – Extra Easy

Breakfast – 2 x cups of coffee!!! (milk HexA) – didn’t get in from work until after midnight and then played on the iPad for a bit which meant no sleepy time until around 2am! …..Which then meant a lovely lie in as OH left for footy at about 8.30am – which lead to no brekkie pour moi!

Lunch – Sunday lunch at OH’s Mam’s! - beef, new potatoes, carrots, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, turnip, gravy (3 syns), Yorkshire Pudding (5 syns)

Then we went to my Nephew’s 6th Birthday party where my sister had done a massive spread – luckily we went straight from lunch so I was stuffed. I did have the teensiest tiniest little bit of chocolate brownie which was beeeeeautiful and well worth the 6 syns I am going to estimate (it really was like one spoonful!!)

Tea – Duck and pheasant with broccoli, green beans and cauliflower and SW roasties.

STUFFED.COM!!!!

HexA – milk in tea’s throughout day
HexB – didn’t have!

Need to plan the upcoming week properly and ensure I get my Hex’s and Syns in line!

Well done on the loss this week hun!

Sorry I have only just seen your question about the actifry. I just spray on the frylight quite liberally usually in a sieve first so I can shake it about to cover them! Never had a problem with them sticking! Give it a go and then you can be guilt free!!

xx

Wednesday 9th February 2011

Breakfast - 2 slices of Nimble WM (HexB)with spread (3 syns) and 40g of Cathedral City Light (HexA)

I am a bit bleeeurggh this morning as I have just got off the phone from my sister and we have been discussing the joint 30th/40th birthday party that I am having with my brother in law (him being 40, me 30)

It was all such a good idea at first bt we seem to be having very different ideas about what we want from it. I wanted to have a fancy dress party for my 30th and he agreed at first but now has had a change of heart and doesn't want that at all. :sigh:

So, I am sitting here trying to think of a compromise - a hat party? (whoch can then be taken off if you so wish), a colour themed party?, I DON'T KNOW!!!!

Anyway, sorry - - rambling on!

Rest of food diary to follow………..

OK, starting to cheer up a bit now - have had a mull over and perhaps fancy dress was a bit over the top and maybe I can lose a stone in the next 2 months and get a beautiful dress to show myself off at the party instead!!!! ;)

So Lunch was my homemade soup from last night - carrot, swede, leek, celery, onion, garlic, veg stock.

Followed by a Strawberry cheesecake muller light (1 syn) and an apple

Have deviated from my weekly plan already - maybe I am a fly by the seat of my fridge sort of gal! :) Never was a planner!

Tea will be peri peri chicken breast with selection of veg.

I am going to my bessie mates tonight to discuss said party and have a whinge - this will no doubt involve a glass or 2 of vino rouge so am saving the rest of my syns for that!

Syns so far = 3 + 1 + 12 = 16

Well done for your loss and your planning (even if you don't go totally according to plan at least you have everything you need at home)
For the party, why don't you have a 1920's party (or some other years): no need for proper fancy outfit but just nice suit for men and beautiful dresses for women...add a hat and some feathers and voila!

Love that idea Kibou... and got me thinking...
What about a James Bond (same again - nice suits & dresses) but with a casino theme as well?
Or a masquarade ball is another idea?
Not whole hog fancy dress then xx

:D thank you ladies! Well I am home from friends house and have cheered up! I went to my sisters on the way home and we agreed on a Glitz and Glamour night! That way people really don't need to fancy dress, just make an effort!! :)

Ended up having 2 medium glasses of wine - going to count as 12 syns - and I am currently making peri peri chicken breasts but haven't bothered with the veg as OH has got me stressed to death since I came in so I am off to bed with chicken, NAS OJ and my book! Night night x x
