Food diary of a chunky girl

To get me back into the zone, three things I'm going to enjoy being slimmer at:

1) my friends hen do at a spa at the end of march
2) my holiday to Italy at the beginning of April
3) my mothers wedding in August

I want to lose half a stone for the first two. Ideally I'd like to lose a stone & a half for the wedding.

Monday's food:

Breakie- toast, egg, tomato (s), quorn bacon
Snack - 2 activia
Lunch - chicken (s) nori wrap with salad (s s), beetroot (s), nectarine (s), yoghurt
Snack - 2 nectarines (s s), crabsticks
Dinner - speedy bolognese, containing quorn mince (s), onions (s), tomatoes (s), spinach (s), carrot (s). Serving was probably 4 portions of speedy. Topped with HEXA cheese. Clementines (s)
Snack 1 little dairy milk (5.5 syns)

HEXA - milk & cheese
HEXB - toast
Syns - 5.5
Speed - 13!

I've eaten a lot today but feel like I have got the SW thing spot on today. I've eaten when hungry, filled up on speed foods & had a little treat. I'm feeling very positive that I can really make this work.

I've made some syn free pate which I shall have on toast for breakfast, I've made a syn free lunch & I'm not going out tomorrow so fingers crossed tomorrow should be another good day. I fear it may be too little too late but I can but try!

Another pretty good day all in all. I've stuck to my 7 syn target, I've requested a free two week gym pass, I've walked up the stairs to work & I've done my rosemary Connelly the last two evenings. Tick tick tick!

I'm adding another thing to my to do list for tomorrow - drink three cups of green tea. It can't hurt I guess.

Night night everyone

Xx

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for your message. I really love food, cooking it, eating it, eating out, watching cookery programs etc & spend a. Awful lot of time planning my weekly menus. Have you got a fav SW style meal?

I'm not very good at measurements but I do the pate as follows:

Fry an onion in fry light
Add a packet on chicken livers & a few bay leaves, herbs & season. Cook.
Once cooled put in a blender & add quark. I use about 2 tbsp but I would recommend adding it bit by bit & tasting. It's easy to put a bit too much in & it ends up a bit bland.
Keep in the fridge overnight.
Ta da!

Now it's not as good as normal pate (well it wouldn't be would it? No brandy, no cream....) but it still is very tasty & makes a very decadent feeling breakfast.

Have a nice evening!

Xx

WI today & I was a STS which I was pleased with as my weekend involved gin, chips, curry, chocolate peanuts, butter & wine - none of which was remotely SW friendly!

Tonight I'm going to a vegetarian Indian that specialises in dosas, one of my favourites. I've not managed to find the syns but haven't had many so far today so I can't imagine it will be the end of the world.

This weekend will be spent with a friend who is very supportive of my weight loss efforts. So I shouldn't have too much temptation!

My aim next week is for a 2.5lb loss. This should be very doable but I don't seem to get many big losses. Although I am due one about now so fingers crossed!

Thursday's food EE:

Breakfast - toast (3.5 syns), pâté, tomatoes
Snack - clementines, yoghurt
Lunch - speedy bolognese
Snack - clementines & yoghurt
Dinner (out) - vegetable thali (I have no idea how many syns but I'm going to guess 8)
Snack - banana, yoghurt

HEXA - missed
HEXB - toast
Syns - 11.5
Exercise - walking.

I'm very pleased I had dinner out & stayed under 15 syns (even if I got my thali wrong I would hope its not that much more). If this is going to be my worst day then it's going to be a good week!

I just found out I cannot eat gluten and it really is bothering me. I feel like I will miss out on so much!

Good luck, it sounds like you are doing great :)

I'm sorry to hear that angel. It is amazing how quickly you can get used to it though. I've discovered all sorts of different foods because i can't eat gluten & the gluten free ranges in supermarkets are amazing. Also a lot of restaurants offer gluten free menus now.

It gets easier, hang in there.

If you have any problems feel free to give me a shout.

Right, as I have been quite so naughty over the weekend my plan is to spread my syns over the week.

So from Thursday to Saturday I've used 66.5 syns. 15 a day works out at 105 syns over the week & that I've got 38.5 syns left until Wednesday. That works out at 9.5 a day, easily doable!

So I'm going to stick with 777 for the rest of the work & hopefully the scales will be kind to me!

Also I feel in control. Something that is incredibly important to me. Long may it last!
