Just some bits of info that might be useful to you all.
Carbs can slow down your metabolism slightly whereas protein can help to speed it up. This doesn't mean you shouldn't eat carbs, it just means you need to go carefully with them, whether you're doing WW, SW or whatever plan you have chosen the principle is still the same. Even if it's a 'Free' food.
When you have potato, rice, past, bread then a) keep the portion sizes small and fill your plate with the good carbs found in vegetables b) switch to brown where you can not only will it help to keep you regular but it will help to clean out your system (think of it like an internal exfoliation) c) all the goodness is taken out of the white pasta, bread and rice and then gets replaced with refined sugars - which is why it tastes so flippin good and d) the fibre will keep you feel fuller for longer.
But don't forget if you increase your fibre intake make sure that you also increase you water intake too - that's really important.
