It probably is just the difference in scales that you didn't get what you hoped for, but a loss is still a loss in the right direction! Well done x
 
Thanks Ghostie and Rochelle. I hope you're right hun, I'd love to just get back to the point where I'm having consistent 2lb a week losses again. Not gonna complain though, I'm loving my food atm!

Worked out that in order to get to target for the wedding I need to lose a consistent 6-7lbs a month. I seem to be managing that so far, even with the slow loss weeks, so hopefully I can do it. I realise 1 year 4 months is still a long way off, but I'm in no massive rush as I'm losing this for life. Even the prospect of getting into the 18's sounds skinny to me and that's only around a month away! I finally seem to have got to a point where I'm enjoying the journey, don't get me wrong I'd love to lose 5lbs a week, but whatever speed it happens then it happens. Life is good and I'm feeling quite content atm.

We've finally decided on the honeymoon today - Cuba baby! :flirt2: I've always wanted to go so bad and it seems like the right time before the end of the Castro era when everything is bound to get commercialised. So looking at 5 days in Prague and 10 days in Cuba! Obviously its too early to book anything yet, but hopefully we won't change our minds again! Now just gotta get saving...
 
Another pound down! Hoped for more but it is what it is. Always a bit hit and miss when swapping scales so hopefully a bigger loss is in store next week. If not then its red week time! Still feeling positive anyway and just happy im still going downwards as i've loved my food this week xx

Your hotel looks amazing! Pity we've now scrapped Cuba as found out it'd be bang in the middle of the hurricanr season, gah! Could take our chances I guess but really wouldn't want it to be ruined. The maldives is out too as its rainy season, back to the drawing board!
 
Mauritius? Different weather system to Maldives, otherwise, parts of Thailand may be ok?
 
We did a safari and beach mix holiday for our honeymoon....we went to Kenya and Zanzibar....was amazing seeing the animals on safari!!! :)
 
Jody - Ooh never thought of Mauritius, it looks stunning so definitely one to look into! As for Thailand its never been one of those places that I've fancied, but after seeing your pics its made me consider it again. I think its the seedy reputation that puts me off, but I know that's only in certain parts of the country and it looked absolutely stunning in your holiday pics. Any recommendations on the best places to visit? I need to have a read of your travel blog!

Elle - Oh wow that sounds amazing! Zanzibar looks incredible and would be a definite option if it wasn't for the fact I'll hopefully be going the year after on a uni work placement. My uni do summer placements in Dar Es Salem in Tanzania and a lot of the time students extend their trip with a stay in Zanzibar, definitely can't wait for that one!

Chris has his heart set on Vegas so we'll have to come to some kind of compromise. Don't get me wrong Vegas would be an amazing place to visit, but I don't think its really a honeymoon place. A two-centre might be an option though, I've never been to New York and I'm desperate to visit it! I'm just glad we've got a good few months before we need to come to any decisions!

Found an amazingly horrible old face pic earlier and contrasted it with how I look now. Even though I've got a long way to go seeing things like this makes me feel so happy with my progress so far. I might still feel fat, but I'm a world away from how I was and I need to remember that!

I overlaid this morning and missed the swimming, I need to be more realistic, getting up at 7am on a Sunday was destined for failure! To make up for things though I'm going for a walk in a minute, then sitting in the beer garden for a bit with a cold diet coke. It might not be cider but it'll still be a lovely afternoon.

Week 31, Day 6 - EE
Breakfast - Strawberries, blueberries and yoghurt with chewy D (hexb)
Lunch - Bacon wrapped red pepper stuffed with philly (hexa) and side salad
Tea - Chicken casserole with veggies and mash - 8 syns
Total - 8 syns

Bev you look absolutely beautiful in your new pic, but you looked beautiful before too. Well done on the pound loss, I reckon you'll have a bigger loss next week when it's on the same scales. I'm weighing tomorrow morning and would like to lose 2and a half but don't think it's gonna happen as had a night out on Friday with a yummy 3 course meal and free drinks!!! I didn't overdo it as I really really want to hit a target this week but I still think it may have been enough to make me not reach it. We'll see!! x

p.s. I went to Thailand for my honeymoon, my husband kept it a secret til the wedding night but I'd dropped LOADS of hints and thankfully he got it right! We went to Koh Samui and Kaoh Lak, both were beautiful. x

I think the seedy reputation of Thailand is just Bangkok really which is of massive contrast to the rest of the country. Flights within Thailand are so cheap that you can visit multiple places too. Phuket looks amazing, lots of adventure, wildlife and beauty there! But we'll be going at a bad season for.that dide of the island- boo!

I've recently had to come to terms with the "exercise water retention" thing. How about if you make a routine of exercising the same time each week before WI so the water retention will always be there rather than just sometimes, so you can always see what weight has been lost on top of expected retention? ;)
I realise now that many a time I have put off exercise with the fear of it screwjng up WI and if I hadnt each time I'd probably be a couple of pounds lighter now! Not to mention more toned. Silly that we let WI get into our heads like this but totally understandable at the same time- we work so hard to see that number drop!
Dont stress too much about the honeymoon, you get inspired by a new place every other week- I'm sure once you stop trying to think it up it'll eventually come to you naturally :)
Ah dont worry about my diary- same old! Too much yap/cereal and thus a lot of bloomin' fluctuating scales lol! x
 
Quick update - last night was a disaster! Mischief (the aptly named cat) got the lid off the slow cooker and fished out the chicken breasts onto the kitchen floor! Now i look back its pretty funny but at the time i was furious. Anyway, it was 7.45pm and we had nothing in that wouldnt take another hour, so ended up with takeaway indian! It was delish but then i got so annoyed with myself after and ended up eating two cream eggs! I need to seriously get a grip, i find weekends so difficult.

To try and help im changing next wi to Sunday to give me an extra day and to help break up my weekend and make ot easier to stay on plan. I know ill be fine in the week but the weekends are seriously slowing me down atm. Feel so annoyed with myself this morning. Determined i can do this without group and need to start showing it now!
 
Morning Bev, just caught up, again! Well done on your 1lb loss, that's fab and that before and present pic of your beautfil face is amazing! Sometimes you need to forget about what the scales say and look at how much you've changed since you started your journey.

Today is a new day and last night can be forgotten about. Maybe making up 'syn treat bags' might help with weekends? Put 15 syns worth of goodies in a bag and then you'll know that's what you can have on a night time when you crave sweet stuff?
