From here to inskinnity! My mission to lose 13.5 stone!

Oh no! Well as long as you've moved on today then just forget about last night! it's done now and can't turn back. You couldn't have done any different in the circumstances x

Can't stop laughing at your cat Mischief :kitty: :D, would love to see her pics :p ! Don't worry about the takeout, given the circumstances, it was not your fault and its good to have a treat night on the weekend, your so good the rest of the week Bev, you deserve it. :) Plus you have an extra day for your weigh in now, so plenty of time to power away at the plan :superwoman: . If your like me then the blip would have turbo charged you for the week ahead :D, so I know Sunday will be a super duper loss, I'm not worried for you at all hehe . Hope your having a smashing day hun. :)

Hi Bev, I just got back from a week away so haven't been able to read everything to catch up, but WELL DONE on that 3lb&1lb loss! So glad for you, it's great that you just kept sticking to it and sticking to it. 4lb in a fortnight is great and a really healthy pace.
One thing I struggle with is the question of how to both love one's body and motivate oneself to lose weight! On the one hand I have come a long way and feel SO much better about myself. But sometimes even if I know I need to lose more for my health, it is looks that really motivate me... so I find myself deliberately looking for things to 'hate' in myself like my double chin and muffin top! Very unhealthy mindset really... I know this is quite a different issue to what you were saying about still feeling unhappy with your size at 5stone into SW. But the thing I've really found helps me is looking at how far I've come in terms of fitness. I climbed three mountains in three days last week and felt on top of the world, and this has finally kicked me back into feeling good about myself AND wanting to keep losing. So I think all your walking and swimming are a great thing and it might help to focus on how far you've come with that and how much fitter you must be.
Phew that was rambly.

You're looking fab Bev! Love your pictures. Keep going with it all.
I like Emma's idea of having a little treat bag with the correct amount of syns in, you can keep that with you as well at all times.
My sister did an elective placement in Dar es salem, she had an absolute fab time! She had a couple of weekends in Zanzibar whilst she was there as well, and loved that too. I think she would go back if she could afford it. Therefore! recommended to go if you get a chance!!!!

Just popping to say hi beautiful xx

Hey hey

We went to Thailand on our honeymoon and we planned everything ourselves. We got return flights to Bangkok then took the train up to Chiang Mai in the north where we stayed at a beautiful guesthouse called Baan Boo Loo (hopefully this link works: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...onal_Thai_Guest_House-Chiang_Mai.html?m=19905 ). Then we flew down to Phuket just to head out to a lovely island called Ko Yao and then we finished up in Ao Nang.

I never thought Thailand would be my cup of tea but it was the only place we could agree on and we covered all sorts of bases from riding elephants in Chiang Mai to chilling in hammocks on the beach on Ko Yao. Just amazing.

Quick update - feeling rough today. Theres a bug going around at work and im pretty sure ive come down with it! Thankfully ive only got 5 hours to get through so should be able to manage that. After work though im going straight to bed! I'll update planned food now cos i doubt ill be on later. Sorry for neglecting my minis buddies, i think itll be the weekend before i have time to catch up properly and reply! :(

Week 32, day 1 - green

Lunch - Morrisons salad bar - 3 syns
Snack - grapes, muller

Morning Bev, just having a catch up. What a lovely picture! It's great to look back at pictures and see changes in yourself that you hadn't even realised were there!

Please don't worry about your takeaway - just remember you've got the rest of the week for damage limitation. Also remember that I had a whole weekend of rich, fatty food and alcohol and I managed to lose over 3lbs!!! It can sometimes give your body a bit of a kick start when you eat badness, then get straight back on plan. I'm sure you will be just fine come WI :)

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Definitely get yourself in bed when you finish work. You've picked lovely comfort food for tea so I'm sure that will make you feel much better :)

Well today went sooooo slowly at work, always does though when you're feeling ill. Thankfully I'm feeling a lot better than I did this morning, but still giving myself the night off from uni work and a proper rest. At the minute I'm snuggled under the duvet with the heating on - bliss! Don't really feel like having a nap so thought I'd make the most of it and get back to everyone and try and catch up on diaries a little.

Since the weekend I've got back on plan as expected and I'm feeling more positive about things again. A lot of people struggle at the weekends and I just need to try and come up with some coping strategies. Emma's idea of the syn treat box is fab, I need to have a look at the syn values of things and make a synful shopping list! Also I'm hoping that switching to a Sunday WI this week will help things. At first it scared the pants off me, but I know it'll mean I'll be perfect on Saturday, so I'll only have Sunday to worry about! Also it gives me an extra day this week to make up for my naughty weekend ;)

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my pic - I can't believe I'm the same person when I see things like that. I really find it hard to notice changes sometimes but a comparison shot like that really puts it into perspective just how far I've come. Like Mrs Ginger says I really need to be findful of stuff like that on the weeks the scales don't move a much as I'd like.

Ron - Hope WI went well! Did you manage to get to your target? Your honeymoon sounds amazing! I'm not brave enough to trust Chris to plan it, he's always been the one who agrees to my travel plans and just pays his way! I'm quite lucky in that respect as usually I manage to get what I want when it comes to holidays, lol :)

Elle -I think I'm more excited about going to Zanzibar than the placement itself! It's still ages away yet but I'm really looking forward to it all the same.

I think I missed the wedding gene, but am finding it quite fun planning mine, although it can be so stressful at times!

Soph - Yeah I'm sure Thailand is fab and you're right about Bangkok giving it the seedy reputation. I definitely want to go at some point, the problem is there are TOO MANY places that I want to go and I've a talent for being incredibly indecisive! As for the honeymoon, hopefully it'll come to me at some point, seems like every week I have a new idea, it's driving Chris crazy!

Looking forward to seeing the pics from your trip, hopefully it'll give me some inspiration! Will drop by your diary later and have a catch up!

Em
- Those 15 syn treat bags are a great idea, going to definitely make one up! Good luck tonight at WI, I'm sure you'll do fab as always!

Rochelle - Thanks hun, and yeah it's a nightmare on Sundays with all the shops shut etc! I could have definitely chose a healthier option though, will have to work on that in future!

Kay - Thanks for the lovely comments hun, I'll let him know he needs to keep on his toes, haha ;)

Just for you I've uploaded a pic of my two kittens Minty (ginger) and Mischief (black/white)! Mischief really does live up to his name! I'm so glad you got a good loss this week and your next award, just goes to show being off plan doesn't have to mean a gain, go you!

Gwella - Not rambly at all, I completely relate to what you're saying. At the moment its kinda easy to find bits I don't like about myself, but like you say I bet it gets tougher nearer to target as you become much happier with your body. Don't get me wrong I feel comfortable in my own skin now and a lot happier with myself, but I have a clear idea of where I want to be I still feel like light years from that point! Just gotta take it a day at a time still as she big picture is still too scary for me to think about. Atm I'm just focussing on powering on and getting into the 18's for Tunisia, if I think of the 7+ stone left to go I'd crumble I'm sure of it!

Looks like you're doing brilliantly, not long now till target, well done you! :)

Jennie - Ooh sounds interesting, glad she enjoyed it! I wonder if she went with Work The World too... Can't believe I'm this excited for something that isn't even booked yet, lol. Determined to save my pennies and go though!

BCP - Lovely to see you, I need to pop over and catch up on your diary later! Hope you're doing well with your lent challenge, I've been sticking to the walking!

Amada
- Wow your hotel looks lovely, great value too considering you get an outside hot tub and stuff! I'm liking Thailand more and more! :)

Dannielle - Thanks for your lovely comments! :)

It's great on those weeks where we somehow manage to get away with a naughty weekend and come out with a loss. I'll be happy with a pound this week after the badness that was last weekend, but any more would be a nice bonus!

As for comfort food, pasta bake is the BEST, I can smell it cooking in the oven as I'm typing this and its divine!

I'm pretty sure she went with work the world. What is it you do?? She stayed in like a massive house with dorms. So made lots of good friends whilst she was there.

Awww Bev, minty and mischief are tooo cute :D. Their both standing like twins striking the same pose lol . I love seeing pics of pets. Still can't get over the chicken story, that's was so funny, you've named him right. What a cutie both of them are. I'm so glad your feeling better now hun, its good your getting some rest. Hope studies aren't weighing you down too much. :) I'm really positive for a good loss for you this week. I think the takeaway you had won't even show on the scales and might even help kick start the metabolism for the week. Your pictures were lovely hun, you certainly need to keep taking a look to remind yourself how far you've come, your journey has been amazing so far and has really inspired me to keep going. I'm loving Em's idea of the syn bag, I think that will really help when you need a sugar fix . I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening hun, pasta bake sounds lush ! :D

Kay xx

CT, can I be nosey and ask what you put in your pasta bake?

Mine never come out very nice!!x

Hi Bev. Glad to hear you're feeling a little better now, duvet snuggling and pasta bake sounds divine!!

My weigh in did not go well! I only lost half a pound so I was gutted. I know I had a night out on Friday but I think I made good choices so felt I deserved a better loss (and I danced my butt off!). I've been rebelling a bit since! But getting back on it as I don't wanna screw it all up, half a pound a week is far too slow for my liking but it's still better than gaining or staying the same. This weight loss malarkey is a pain in the ass sometimes!!! xxx

Hope you're fine and dandy now honey xx

Afternoon lovely ladies! I'm feeling loads better today thanks BCP, just got in from work and posting a my eats for the day before hitting the books. I'm a bit behind with my coursework atm, need to really knuckle down so I can make the deadline a week today, grr! I think I'm my own worst enemy sometimes when it comes to my uni work. I spend hours and hours trying to get it perfect and over-analysing things. Wish I wasn't such a perfectionist!

As for the pasta bake I don't actually make it, Chris does, but its one of the few pasta bakes I actually like. It's pretty high syn tbh because he uses the Homepride tomato & bacon pasta bake, which is 22.5 syns for the whole thing (thankfully it makes 3-4 portions). He also adds red onion and lots of halved baby plum tomatoes along with the cheese. In total for a very decent sized portion it works out about 8 syns + 2 hexa's, sliced bacon is a nice addition too if you've got enough syns left! I absolutely love it but I reckon its not the healthiest meal, so I'll only have it once a month or so, but I always enjoy it.

Jennie - Yeah it sounds like Work The World, they have a big house where all the students live, sounds like so much fun! Atm I'm just working part time and studying Human Bio with the Open uni, so long as I pass that I'll be doing Diagnostic Radiography at Sheffield Hallam from September, can't wait! I want to go into sonography and I know the Dar placement lets you specialise in that area, so its an amazing opportunity for me to get some experience!

Ron - Arghh I hate those half a pound losses! They are such a pain in the bum! I hope its not demotivated you too much, I know you'll kick butt this week!

Miss K - Haha, omg that reminds me, Mischief still has a faint pink patch on him! It's crazy how long its taken for it to fade!

That reminds me, I need to catch up on your diary later after study!

Kay - Hope you're having a good day hun. We didn't actually name the kittens as the shelter already had, but we loved the names they'd chosen. Mischief definitely lives up to his name though, he's a proper little scamp!

Hope you're right about the metabolism boosting, I've been on plan since Monday 100% but I'm still worried I won't have lost anything this week. At least I have another 3 full days left. It's crazy how much pressure we put ourselves under! Hope you're feeling a lot better now since your fabby WI!

Damn it, I was hoping you wouldn't say that. We loooooove the Homepride tomato & bacon one but I don't have it because of the syns. My husband has it every week though! We normally add bacon & mushrooms, sausage too if we have any in.
