From one extreme to the other - food diary!

hope your feeling better soon, much harder to be on track when not feeling well x

Thanks both! Back on the wagon today after 5 days of eating rubbish (oops!) going to be even more in denial and not weigh tomorrow - think I'll leave it until next week!

So I braved the scales…. +3lb L so gutted as it’s taken 3 weeks to lose that and 5 days to put it back on! I’m selling my jewellery and face painting at events all weekend but am going to prepare so that I don’t stray for the junk food / takeaways. So hard when there are always so many chip and burger vans!

Yesterday’s food…

Breakfast: Jaffa Cake Alpen Light (HexB) Coffee (HexA)

Lunch: Coated a Quorn Roast Beef Steak (1/2 syn) in home made BBQ sauce and put it in a Bfree wrap (hexB) with some lettuce

Dinner: Veggie chilli with brown rice and a 1/3 of a micro-waved poppadom (1 syn?) and one space raider crisp (1 syn?)

Hi did you manage to find Turkey burgers?

Nice actually - preferred it to the quorn peppered beef steaks, just had one of the 'pork' ones for lunch - bit bland to be honest! x

Haven't had the steak yet. I'm thinking the pork steak will be bland. May just stick gravy on it, or do reckon a marinate would work?

I haven't been to Iceland yet & no room in freezer whatsoever, can't even shut the door right now lol.

yeah I think gravy on it would be lovely. I stuck a BBQ sauce on the pork one and got to be honest - it just tastes of sauce nothing else so not really worth it unless you're trying to use some syns up (but think I'd prefer a bag of crisps or something lol!) x

So despite my 3lb gain yesterday - weighed myself this morning and back to 12st 7lb?! So the 3lb is back off in a day? Can't work that one out but not complaining!

So food yesterday

Breakfast: alpen light Jaffa cake (hexb) coffee (hexa)

Lunch: lettuce, tomato, whole wheat cous cous, hard boiled egg, quorn pork steak (1/2 syn) cooked in home made BBQ sauce, sweet corn and mint yoghurt sauce.

Dinner: roasted butternut squash, tomato and pepper lasagne with quark as a white sauce, and approx 40g of grated cheddar (hexa + 2 syns approx) with lettuce

Deffo, prefer crisps or chocolate any day. Will give them a go.

lasagna looks good really fancying that this week

was so easy - roasted butternut squash, tomato and pepper in the oven whilst that was roasting I popped a tin of tomatoes, garlic, onion, chopped courgette and lea and perins in a pan and heated through. Once roasted, placed the roasted veg in with the tomato and other veggies in the pan and stirred. Poured the mix into a dish - topped with lasagne sheets, quark and grated cheese and popped in the oven - hope you like it!

On my feet all day yesterday doing face painting - when I got home my thighs were in so much pain that I had to take pain killers - ouch! Helping out at a birthday party today for a few hours too - saving for a wedding means I'm taking every little bit of extra cash that I can at the moment!

Breakfast; coffee (hexa)

Lunch: leftover lasagne with lettuce (hexa for cheese)

Dinner: home made egg fried rice (went a bit wrong as way too much egg for rice!) and quorn chicken in black bean sauce (Tesco healthy living sauce = 5.5 syns for half a jar) with added onions and peppers like the Chinese. Bit annoying after finding the syn value of this sauce to find out that I could have actually had it from the take away for the same syn value but but I'm sure my home made one would have had less oil etc than a takeaway.
