Gail I read your lovely lovely rambly post and can relate to so much of it. WOWOWOWOW into the 11's well done you. At the moment its a pipe dream for me, but I've been trying to gradually read your diary this week and can now see that it can be done :D thank you sweetie. You've done brilliantly and as you clearly say and i can see, you've still lived your life and enjoyed your food, which to me is how it should be :) Well done Gail so proud of you xxxxxx

Hi Gail, Well done on reaching the 11's!! That 4lb loss is fantastic, I will be back to read the rest of your diary later!!

Again Congratulations xx

Well done Gail - another amazing loss and we've both hit the 11s (ok, you for the second time around!) in the same week! :D

You've been in my head again with your 'rambly' post. I have exactly the same feelings, both positive and negative. I can honestly say that I feel better in myself now, both physically and mentally, than I have for 10 years (since I had my son) - but sometimes I still worry that I will take my eye off the ball and let it all go to pot again.

I do, however, also see how SW can be my eating plan for life - and that's something I never achieved last time around. This time, I really feel I've made lasting changes and learnt not to beat myself up for a small detour from the plan... That can only be good for the long-term.

Think we'll both still be here, posting away and weighing in every Sunday for years to come - it certainly keeps me on track.

Well done again and here's to another fabulous week in the 11s! :D

Superb Gail!

Did you have an early WI? - I assume you went to group for confirmation?

You're on a bigger roll than my belly used to have:cool:

Made up for you. Your journey is improving, I think you've now worked out how to use the satnav!! (metaphors were never my strong point lol!)

Welcome to the 11s!!

Cinnabons might just be the answer:eek:

Steve

Well done Gail! I saw your 5 1/2 stone sticker on another thread and in the rush to get over here I spilled coffee all over my laptop! That's now drying out and i'm posting this from my phone - massive congratulations on your fantastic weight loss this week, getting your award back and getting into the 11s! I'm absolutely thrilled for you :D

I'm delighted to hear you're feeling positive at the moment and I know you are on your way to target now, pound by pound you will get there!

Thank you for the lovely inspirational post, I just love reading your diary!

Here's to another great week ahead, best of luck.

WHOOP WHOOP WHOOPEE - well done lass! 11s again.

Your rambly post made sense to me too. I wish I could bottle the good days for use when I'm struggling - like this week! Like you, I continue to enjoy my food without being too deprived and know SW will be for life. Otherwise I'm back up the slippery slope to fat-dom! If going UP a slippery slope is physical possible.

Anyway, keep it up chica. 80 lbs down and still keeping us all motivated with you posts like earlier.

Wonderful Gail. So pleased for you :D and don't ever apologise for your 'rambling posts' I see them more like wonderful wise words of our guru Gail :)

You are an inspiration and your confidence in yourself and what you have achieved is brilliant and the great thing is the confidence you have in knowing that you will never have to repeat this journey. I am in awe sweetie......honest xxx

Morning sis,

Have a fabbo bank holiday sweetie xxx

Are you up to much? Xx

Helloooooooooooooo! It's me. Made it. Phew. Far too many posts since I last graced you with my - hmmmm, what do I call it?
Am I supposed to be alliterating with Sarah? Or Jim?
I'll go for "sagacity", or "just amazingly fantasticness(!)" - but I expect at least SOME of you will have something to say about that!

Anyway:

Waheey it's Gateshead takeover - why aye man,

Them Cinnbons sound dangerous - so glad I ain't got a sweet tooth!

Have any of you heard of Beignets? They were all going mad for them in Florida - freshly cooked/baked and dusted in sugar - proper food porn for the sweet toothed.

French Quarter Beignets Recipe : Paula Deen : Food Network

mini dusted donuts?

 I won't even look out for them then! Pass me the salted almonds and the red wine instead please! ;)

Oh dear. I love cinnabuns. And the proper French beignets (not the rubbish attempts at them that you get from those "donut" vans here). BUT I like them when they dust them with cinnamon sugar. So maybe that's half way between the two!
And I'm also with the savoury-toothed ones, and the red wine guzzlers...

So basically, if it's food, I love it!

(And why aye man, woman, hinny, pet.)

Yes, you post away Gail. As far as I'm concerned you don't post enough on here. Some of us like what you have to say;)

Anyway, It's your thread, so ramble away! - you know I love rambling and am an active member of the ramblers:D

Disappearing Dawn has plenty to say for herself:p but some of us come on here to listen to the organ grinder:cool:

S

Just to clarify - who's the Chief Monkey?
Dawn and Steve with joint honours, I reckon!

Call that a rambling post?

Not a patch on the 1hr 53min verbal post earlier...;)

Seriously, a lovely honest post with lots of interesting points, and really well put Gail x.

I'm quoting Dawn's response here, rather than the original, as
a) this is a flipping long post already, and
b) I agree with every word of it.

You have done, and continue to do, brilliantly, Gail. Well done you.

Damn. Did that count as n***?

So, this week I lost 4 lbs :D. That takes me to 11 st 13 lbs (actually 12 st 11.6 lbs !) for the first time this journey (my lowest ever was 11 st 11 lbs but I was under 12 stone only for a couple of weeks), gives me my 5.5 stone shiny back and 7.5 lbs in 2 weeks. Just shows you what I can do when I put my mind to it :D :D

Yay. No more targets for me though. As long as I lose every week (ideally 1 lb but I'll take anything) that is good enough for me. Looking forward to this week :)

Gail x

Apart from your dyscalculia - hoping that's the word - (assuming that you meant 11 st 12.6, rather than 12 st 11.6?) that's absolutely amazing, this far into your losses.

I can't keep telling you how brilliant that is, as that would be far, far, far too n***, particularly on top of my earlier comments. So I won't. I'd ruin my reputation.

But you're right. Once we've lost this much, and are so close to where we want to be, just losing, every week, is all the target we should need. In the grand scheme of things, how much does it really matter how long it takes? We've got the rest of our lives to enjoy being at our target weight.
How good does that sound???

Bah!

Right. Resuming "normal" (by which I mean not normal in the slightest, but "usual" for me) service.

Show's over.
Back to work, folks.
I'm off.
Byeeeeee!

Ooh Sarah - you're not going to like this at all. But that was a fabulous, very NICE post and I agree with every word (creep or what?).

Just catching up on your diary and wowzer - you've done so well!
Agree with everyone else that you truly deserve this! You have put the hard work on and at the same time been here to support everyone else - truly wonderful! The 10s are in sight and it doesn't matter when you get there as once you're there you're there for good! :)

I have learnt that I could so easily go back to how I used to eat and probably will always be that way but I honestly feel that this could be my way of life. I'm not SW perfect but that's good -
hi gail firstly well done on the fantastic 4lb loss this week :happy096: secondly another lovely post from you the above extract i can soooo relate to (as probably many more minimins can) hope u have a great week you deserve it
love val xx

Hey Gail! Well done on your loss. And agree that you are an inspiration on all walks of SW life. You were my inspiration on my holiday - to enjoy my food, not be a downer dieting all the time but still making sensible choices. I really thought of you often!! :) xxxx

Jeez *blushes* - so many lovely comments. Thank you all.

Having a reasonable week (after the 3 course meal at the pub on Sunday) however the scales are definitely NOT showing that. This morning despite a very good day yesterday were showing 3 lbs up from Sunday and 1 lb up from yesterday - absolutely no reason for that last bit of gain at all. Ah well, such is life. I had such good losses the last 2 weeks that it's probably not entirely unreasonable. So, still hoping for at least a STS this week (and it's early days) but if it doesn't happen then I'll just carry on as I am !

Am very tired so might go to bed soon without reading lots of diaries but am thinking of you all :)

Gail x

Hi Gail, it might be one of those slow weeks, fingers crossed the weight all flies off soon and preferably before wi in day! Good luck hun and well done on having a good week! Xxxx
