Will gargling with salt water make me retain water on SS??

My dentist has advised that i gargle with salt water throughout the day because the gum area around my growing wisdom tooth is swollen and sore.

I would prefer not to gargle if it makes me retain water because i'm due on TOTM so i'm already retaining water. But i think i may have to because i am in pain.

    I would appreciate your thoughts.

    Thanks in advance :) xx

Do what your dentist tells you to do, and try not to swallow the salt water. Following doctor's orders is probably a bit more important than a little water retention. Besides, water retention isn't forever!

Thanks for your reply hun. I do intend to gargle with the salt water but i just wanted to know its effects. I know water retention isnt forever, but i am sick of retaining water all the time on this deit, its takin forever for me to lose my weight (i can just about afford the diet too), lol. Oh well.

Thanks again for your reply :) xx

I'm sure you'd be fine. Just say some was absorbed, it would be so miniscule.

Thanks KD. I think i was just anxious about it and paranoid about retaining water cuz its TOTM soon. I have to gargle every hour, which is getting abit annoying now, lol.

Thanks for your reply :) xx

Aww, thanks hun, i appreciate your support :). My gum has been killing me all evening  and i have to start a short course of anti-biotics for it tmrw :(. Stupid wisdom tooth .

I hope you get through week 1 ok :). It is the most difficult week of the diet because you have to fight through the physical hunger :( and then the psychological hunger :(. But get past week 1 and you'll find it much easier :). Have you tried the soups? Maybe they'll help your salt cravings.

I've been gargling every hour since about 6pm and i cant taste any salt in my mouth , lol.

Good luck for the rest of the week :) xx
