I am about 1/3 of the way into this book and am finding it a bit slow to get going!

Can anyone who has already read it, tell me if it picks up?

Its not the usual sort of book that I read but thought i'd give it a go!

It sure does - thry get better as the books progress too. Second is better than the first etc.

Definately stick with it, I've read all 3 books and they are brilliant.

Did you manage to stick with it? I also found it slow to start off with but glad I continued as I really enjoyed it. Finished the second book the other week, and about to start the 3rd.

I found the first book slow to get started, but once i got into it i couldnt put it down. Same with the other 2 in the series, in fact each book was better than the last. I read all 3 in a week!

So sad the author died, tragic really that he never saw the success they became. I also found it very strange that in the 2nd book i think, there is an author of a book that dies before it gets published. Weirdly prophetic.

I agree, i was at the same point as you and thought why am i bothering. But i stuck with it and it really is worth it, it is such a great book and the 2nd is even better. I must admit the 3rd was a little dissapointing in the end but i think that just my personal opinion let me know when you finish them as i promise you will if you keep with book 1.

I have tried and tried but can't get into the first book so all three are sitting looking at me from my bookshelf. I may persevere and try again when I get some time at Xmas!
