HI All

I have just joined after finding this site while looking for advice about losing a lot of weight. I have only just started but really need to do it this time as its affecting my health. Im getting swollen ankles and loads of backache. I am just cutting down at present but was thinking of trying the alternating day diet, has anyone been on this if so how did you find it?

Sorry, can't advise on the diet but this time last year I was exactly the weight you are now. I'm now 65lbs lighter and, although I've a way to go yet to my target, I feel so much better! I'm fitter, healthier and have loads more energy and I'm starting to get some of the confidence back that I'd lost over the last few years. I just wish I had found the motivation years ago to make the changes.

I'm not doing any diet - just eating smaller portions of healthy food (calorie counting to an extent but not rigidly - I can't live without my little treats) and doing more exercise.
