I'm not having much luck with the plan and have only been on it for 6 weeks! lost very little and, now i'm not saying i've been an angel but i'm not very comfortable with eating so much food and can't wrap my head around it!! i feel so guilty eating potato and pasta in the same day that i'm skimping on other things like syns and healthy extras. has anyone else felt or is feeling this way?? some advice please x:17729:

I felt the same way originally..... you can do green without pasta or potatos! However trust the plan and eat. Make sure you use your healthy extras.... the secret is eat lots of superfree foods!

hi hun the reason you can eat so much free foods is because they fill you and slowly release energy the heathly extras and numbered to 2 because you only need a certain amount in your daily intake to be balanced and the reason they say to split red and green days i.e a measured amount of one and loads of the other is because your body finds it easier to digest carbs and protein seperately or at least that was my understanding if i heard my consultant right hope it helps chick me and my friend jioned together and she lost her weight half lb a week i lost 3-4 lb a week my weight crept back on and shes gone from size 16-10 so slowly slowly wins the race and just think 1lb a week is 3 and a half stone a year doesn't that sound great .....good luck

I find you've got to really focus on any diet to get the best results. You need to be positive and driven, you also need to trust the SW plans, millions of people have lost weight using them and so can you! Eat up, the more free foods you eat the more it boosts your metabolism and do some exercise as it's a two pronged attack. Good luck!
It is hard getting your head around it hun but I've a bit of advice for you - how about being an angel for a week or so, following the plan and seeing the reward. I can assure you it will work!!

For one week, do the plan 100%
Eat everything you're supposed to, including healthy extras and syns. Drink lots of water and eat lots of free foods (If you can make them speed foods, so much the better).
See what happened the following week at weigh in.
I'm sure you'll be surprised and pleased.

thanks all i'm gonna give it a go and hope for results! i've started a diary thread to keep me aware and if i have a good week i can look back at what i've done! i'm also spying on all the other threads for menu ideas! i messed up a bit yesterday by having too many syns - but my consultant syas i can pocket 70 at the beginning of the week and minus my days so i've taken them off and gonna control the rest of the week! x

I think maybe if you stop being over-excited about free food and just eat what you want but not more than you need, you will be fine.

Try eating half your dinner then taking a ten minute breather. If you're still hungry then ding in the micro and carry on eating another quarter. wait again. This will teach you about your naturally satisfying portion. You shouldn't feel awful after eating on this plan, you should feel naturally satisfied.

I am a slow loser too, and thought exactly the same as you when I first started, but all I can say is stick to it 100%, it really does work. X
