Hi Curlywurly,
You have done extremely well on this diet and your losses have been great..don't get me wrong I am ecstatic with my weight loss so far..I have lost 3lb short of 2 stone in 5 weeks and I hope I get to that 2 stone marker this WI on Thursday. I know this diet is the next best thing to surgery and the weight losses are just as dramatic. What I was trying to say with the small weight loss thing in the first week was I was wondering whether PCOS was the reason due to our body wanting to hold onto the glycogen because of the Insulin resistance that comes with PCOS...I was just interested to see what the losses of other PCOS sufferers was like..as I know from personal experience on other diets and sticking to them faithfully that losing weight for me is extremely difficult. You yourself must have battled with it. I can honestly say that we are not only battling our weight but are constantly battling the hormones as well to keep the weight from our door as food is not the issue with PCOS suffers alone...it is the constant battle with insulin within our bodies that causes a majority of the weight gain.
I noticed from your posts that you are from Loughton, well I am just up the road from you in Chigwell..virtually neighbours.
I think I am definitely going to post a thread for us Poly sufferers...where we can spur each other on an support each other.
By the way I agree CD really rocks!!!!!
