Halfway There

I've just been for my 12th weigh-in and I'm another 4lbs down. It's funny because I didn't think I'd done so well this week. I've had some time off work and I've not been drinking enough water (by my standards) and I had some vegetable chili last night (instead of my soup) purely for therapeutic reasons (of course!) because I am desperately constipated.

I've just realised that I am now exactly halfway through my weight loss - that's if I want to get down to 10 stone. I've been thinking about reaching the end of the diet: do I stop about 11 stone and lose the rest through healthy eating and exercise or do I carry on on LT and get to 9.5 or 10 stone, allowing for a little gain when I do start to eat?

Anyway, realising I'm halfway has made me more determined to succeed. We're starting our busy period at work soon, so there will be plenty of overtime on which to focus my mind and maybe the next 47lbs will take less than 12 weeks to achieve. Plus the weather should be getting warmer, which means lots more long doggy walks.

personally this is what i'm gonna do...
...my goal weight is 11 stone and i'm gonna stay on liotrim until my pharmacist tells me i'm 11 stone which will mean that when i'm in the nuddy i'll be a few pounds lighter which means that if i do put on a couple of pounds refeeding i'll still be 11 stone (in the nuddy)!
i really do want to start eating again but i'd rather stick with this guaranteed way of losing weight until the end and then my mission will be to maintain coz i think maintaining is mission enough!

totally agree with everything you said fran..im in that situation now and desperately want to start eating but i know if i stop now before i get to my goal, ill feel like ive let myself down..7 lbs to go and i think its the hardest time of all now...last week was a nightmare, this week, not great either lol still losing though so hopefully another couple of weeks and then i can refeed

Thanks for your comments. My daughter has been on LT and stopped for a while because she had some things planned. She's still losing weight through healthy eating but tomorrow she's going back on three shakes a day for (probably) another month. Anyway, she reckons I should stay on LT until my goal weight rather than stop at 11 stone. On LT I could lose that final stone in a month, but by eating or maintaining it could take me three months. I always like to plan ahead. I psyched myself up before I started the diet and I want the end of the diet to go to plan as much as the diet itself did - if you see what I mean.

Well one hun thats fab, going by my experience so far it is very possible you wil not gain weight when refeeding but the oppoite and lose so consider that hun when you think about your target. I have even lost inches during refeed xx
